In past centuries, such a form of art as a puppet theater flourished in Russia. Dressed-up people walked around the squares and fairs and played interesting performances. It would seem that such a long occupation should have long lost its relevance. But no, and at the moment there are many fans of puppet theaters. He is especially loved by young children.
History of puppet theaters of various nations
The first mention of puppet theaters found in ancient Egypt. On holidays, women went through villages with small figurines in their hands. Using special ropes they were set in motion. Similar dolls can be found in the culture of Latin America and Syria.
There were puppet theaters in ancient Greece. Puppets were even mentioned in the works of Greek philosophers and scientists (Aristotle, Herodotus and others). It is believed that the art of puppet theater came to Greece from India, thanks to groups of puppeteers.
In Russia, the first mention of the puppet theater dates back to the 17th century. At that time, each do-it-yourself puppet theater was being built. The first puppet tour took place in the eighteenth century. They were conducted by two groups, one of which went to give performances in Ukraine, and the other in Russia.
Do it yourself
It is not possible to list all the positive aspects that the puppet theater has on the development of children. The child will not only look at the performance with pleasure, but will also take an active part in it.
To implement such a wonderful plan for entertaining children, you need the theater itself and dolls for it. But, unfortunately, not everyone will be able to purchase them, because the price for them is sometimes very high. Therefore, the only way out is to create a puppet theater with your own hands.
Puppet theater at school will be especially useful. As it turned out, such a theater is not just entertainment, but also one of the elements of pedagogy. This element of learning is called - art pedagogy, which involves the impact on children through art.
How to make a puppet theater with your own hands?
Its manufacture consists of several stages:
- The curtain and the scene. They can be created from a large cardboard box. It needs to be cut in half and "dressed" one on top of the other (drag them with tape, so it will be stronger). Then cut through the holes and let the wire pass, a curtain will hang on it. You need to hang them on hooks, like curtains on a cornice.
- Scenery. Make them fit all tales. For example, a house, a forest and a yard. All this needs to be glued onto cardboard and folded like a book. This will add sustainability.
- Heroes Next, start making dolls for the puppet theater. The protagonists can be made from the same cardboard, or they can be made in the form of dolls, rukovicheks, or simply put on performances with rubber or plastic toys.
- Sound and light. Take a regular tape recorder, each family member can easily handle it. You will need it to sound musical pauses or just to play songs related to a fairy tale. Still need a table lamp - you will direct the light on the heroes.
- Puppeteers. They can be all interested family members.
And so that your child does not get bored while you are preparing the theater, entrust him with simple tasks. For example, let him draw the sky on a screen (daytime - with the sun, or nighttime - with the stars) or cut out pictures from magazines. After you attach them to the "scene".
Do-it-yourself puppetry is a pleasure. Believe me, this is a very useful and interesting activity. You can make dolls and the stage yourself, and then play wonderful performances.
You can even make a tradition and prepare a new theatrical production every weekend, invite relatives and drink tea and cake.
