Svetlana Sheptukha - the first master chef of Ukraine

The show "Master Chef" in Ukraine started in 2011. Amateurs-cooks from all over the country took part in it. They showed their skill in preparing gourmet dishes with a competitive moment. The winner of the first season was Svetlana Sheptukha. The quiet and modest girl showed herself on the show as an easily trained and non-conflict person.

The girl was born and raised in Donetsk in the family of a miner. From childhood, she loved to watch how mom and grandmother cook. When dad went to work, he and his mother anxiously waited for him from the shift. The miner's profession is physically difficult and dangerous. Therefore, in the family every time he returned from work, calm came and happiness reigned.

The girl recalls that when collapses occurred in the mine, she and her mother experienced terrible hours of waiting and anxiety. After graduating from school, Svetlana Sheptukha entered the Trade and Economic Institute. There she received the profession of accountant and PC operator.

The girl married a miner early. She herself got a job as an accountant. Cooking has become her hobby. She read a lot of literature on this topic and on holidays tried to reproduce new recipes in life. Often she could not try her hand at cooking exotic dishes, because the products in these recipes were used expensive, and the family lived modestly.

Casting

Svetlana admits that she sent a profile to participate in the show secretly from everyone. She had long dreamed of taking part in the filming of the STB channel. At first, she did not believe that she would even be invited for an interview. When the girl got a call from Kiev, she had to admit her step to her husband and relatives.

Svetlana Sheptukha agreed to go to the capital with her husband, hoping that they would see the city. There was no hope of going to the next casting round. But the judges liked her dish, and she went on.

Then the girl went into the twenty, she was invited to shoot in a television show. Arriving in Kiev and settling in a recreation center outside the city, Sveta rated her strength very low compared to other participants.

The path to victory was very difficult. It was difficult for the girl to get used to the life of the capital and the shooting schedule. Participants had almost no time to relax. Filming began at 8 a.m. and ended after 10 p.m.

On a rare weekend, Svetlana slept half a day, and the rest of the time she learned new recipes. She quickly went to her victory. First, the girl admits that she did not start friendships with anyone. She thought she would leave at the beginning of the project, and did not want to become attached to people.

When she went to the top ten, self-confidence increased. Svetlana became friends with Anya. The girls subsequently reached the final. Unfortunately, Sheptukha admits that her friend painfully survived the loss and stopped communicating with her.

Hard way to compete

The first master chef shared that the most difficult thing on the project was to withstand a moral “assault” by the participants and the judge. Due to her calm nature, it was very difficult for Svetlana to perceive intrigues and scandals normally. She was twenty gray mouse.

By the end of the show, the girl was transformed not only externally, but also strengthened her character. She has passed the difficult path to victory and is now confident that she can work in the kitchen of any restaurant with the most extreme conditions.

All this time she was supported by the closest person - husband Vladimir. He is one of the few who believed in her strength and knew for sure that the victory would remain with his wife. The judges also respected her talent and her desire to learn something new.

Life after the project

After receiving the title of "master chef" Svetlana completely decided to change her life. She quit her job to participate in the show. Won 500 thousand UAH. and a trip to study in Paris a simple girl Svetlana Sheptuha. After the project, she went there, having met New Year at home with her husband.

This school of cooks is one of the best in the world. The whisperer went to France for 3 months. Here she mastered many new recipes and cooking techniques. She received not only new knowledge, but also the confidence that her subsequent life would be connected with cooking.

After arrival, Svetlana Sheptukha lived all summer in Crimea and worked as a cook. There she mastered many recipes for fish dishes. The girl entered the university and receives a second education, which is associated with the technical nuances of organizing a restaurant business.

Over time, Svetlana accepted the invitation of Nikolai Tishchenko (judge of the project) and went to work as a chef in his restaurant. Then came the long-awaited event - in 2015, the girl became the mother of a wonderful girl Alice. A few months after the birth of her daughter, Svetlana Sheptukha went to work as a chef in another large restaurant in Kiev. After the project, she is in demand as a cook in any restaurant in the country.

Now she successfully combines motherhood and career. A girl with her husband love to travel to different countries. There she walks to small restaurants and studies traditional dishes. Moreover, she gives preference not to places for tourists, but to institutions where the local population goes.
