We all love car racing. Even in the distant past, as soon as the first cars appeared , competitions between them began. They, of course, have survived to the present day, the only difference between races is, probably, a constant upgrade of cars every year and their type. Modern races represent many types of such competitions. Some of the most popular are rallies, Formula 1, motorcycle races, and many others that we may not have heard of. Truck races, in which adrenaline and pleasure constantly splash, do not stand aside.
Truck racing is a special occurrence in the world of motorsport. Every year this type is becoming more popular and fans are becoming more and more. Truck racing is not yet famous for its long history, as they are about 30 years old. It all started with the fact that trailer drivers lacked adrenaline. Here they are, as a pleasure, and skated racing along specially designated tracks. Naturally, with each new competition, such races began to attract new participants, sponsors, spectators, reporters and everyone who was not too lazy to spend their time and money on such an interesting sight, because I wanted something new, in addition to the already familiar classic races.
Many competitions were organized with the participation of trucks, but the Dakar rally marathon was undoubtedly the most popular. There are not only off-road racing on trucks, but also motorcycles, ATVs and cars are taking part. The main thing is that the transport that participates in this type of rally does not exceed 3.5 tons, with the exception of trucks. At the competition, they drive trucks representing various manufacturers, thus protecting their worthy name. Among them, one can already find well-known brands, such as Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Scania, DAF, and, of course, our domestic KamAZ.
Thierry Sabine is the person who came up with the idea to hold the Dakar rally for the first time. The foundation was laid in 1978, and on December 26 the first start of this exciting race was given. We can say that since those days, truck races began to compete with other car races among the audience.
These competitions are held in extreme desert conditions. To get to the finish line, participants must travel thousands of kilometers, breaking dunes and desert hills. Only in such races can pilots show everything they can do, because during the competition, anything can happen to them and they must be prepared for any turn of events. Also, as a result of the rally, all the disadvantages and advantages of the participating cars are manifested, which design engineers should pay attention to in order to prevent such errors in the following competitions.
The performance of the KamAZ team at these competitions is very pleasing. She won the truck race 10 times, and is considered the undisputed leader in her category. Mechanics every time try to improve the technical characteristics of the car and make the best decision. There are also technical trucks that provide capital support to their staff.
The Russian KamAZ truck has glorified its name to the whole world. And seven-time champion Vladimir Chagin, two-time champion Firdaus Kabirov and Viktor Moskovsky helped him do this, having won this race once. It was after this rally in 1996 that the glory of KamAZ began.
Ring races on trucks are also quite popular. They pass in various cities of Russia. Russian off-road racing is not at all like the rest. All these competitions are particularly fast conduction. But even in such a short period of time, both the driver and the viewer can, for sure, get a lot of pleasure and adrenaline.
