Sergey Butorin

A few biographical facts

Butorin was born in 1964 in the city of Ostashkov, located in the Tver region. Having reached military age, the guy went to the army, where he served in a unit of sappers. The military unit was located in Odintsovo. Having served the due time, Butorin did not leave the service, but continued his military career. Thus, he rose to the rank of ensign. In young and mature years, Osia began to get involved in sports, in particular boxing. Repeatedly, he took part in various competitions and even received a rank in this sport.

However, in 1989, the future leader of the organized crime group left the military ranks. His further work was to protect a small cafe called "The Scarlet Flower". The location of this institution was in the Koptevo area.

First crime

The younger brother of Sergei Butorin - Alexander, was repeatedly tried, took drugs. Perhaps it was thanks to him that Butorin connected his life with crime. So, it was with Alexander Osya, who had not yet worn such a nickname, that he committed his first crime. It happened on July 27, 1990. Butorin did not yet belong to any criminal groups, did not communicate with any of the authorities in the criminal world. On that day, Sergey Butorin, Osya, and his brother robbed the apartment of Victor Magids, who was a well-known collector in certain circles.

life imprisonment

The order to rob this apartment came to the brothers from another lover of antiques - Jacob Feldman. The latter met Alexander Butorin in prison, where he also served his sentence. In addition to the brothers , Evgeny Tokarev took part in the crime , who was also a friend from prison. But besides this, Tokarev also worked in the internal affairs bodies before. Preparation for the crime, that is, measures to search for weapons, was undertaken by Sergey Butorin. As a result of this robbery, the criminals caused damage in the amount of more than nine million US dollars. Among the stolen items were many jewelry, icons, ancient paintings, as well as a variety of archaeological finds.

Yakov Feldman and Vladimir Stepanov

A certain role in this crime was to be played by Vladimir Stepanov, who at that time was a novice entrepreneur. According to the plan developed by Feldman, Stepanov was supposed to be at a distance from the crime scene, and when the rest did their job, drive up to the porch and take away the loot. But it was at that moment that an incident happened to Stepanov. At a certain time, he could not drive up to the appointed place, because he was ruined by a dream. Having woken up and drove up to the house of Magids, Vladimir Stepanov discovered that his accomplices were no longer there.

Four years later, Vladimir Stepanov turned to the internal affairs bodies, where he talked about the crime committed, about the persons who participated in it. Police officers put Butorins, Tokarev and Feldman on the wanted list. After some time, Feldman was found hanged in the Belgian capital. He left there a week after a perfect robbery, he lived in Brussels, in one of the hotels where he rented a room. The Belgian police did not find any signs indicating that it was a violent death. Therefore, everyone decided that it was suicide. The body of Feldman was sent to Moscow, where he was cremated.

Subsequent criminal career

Having completed the aforementioned robbery of an apartment, Osia realized that there was a period during which he could rise quite well. It was then, with the collapse of the USSR, the era of the cooperative movement began, and the criminal career of many criminals went uphill. The adoption of such cooperative entrepreneurs under their protection ("protection") brought very large incomes. Of course, Butorin’s work as a security guard for some penny was not to his liking, so he and his brother and boyfriend, nicknamed Belok (Dmitry Belkin) decided to organize his own brigade. These events took place in Odintsovo. Having created a group, the criminals started to work - they extorted money from entrepreneurs, committed robberies and robberies.

Expanding organized crime groups, unlike other gangs

Over time, the gang began to expand, under its control, a large and large territory passed. Their influence has spread to the area from Odintsovo to Zvenigorod. Mostly organized crime groups racketed entrepreneurs, but did not shy away from any other business for which it would be possible to get at least some profit.

The difference between the Butorin organized crime group and other criminal organizations was that Axis subordinates did not kill by order, but generally just like that, perhaps even for pleasure. Such killings did not promise them any benefit, but the fact remains, people were killed for no apparent reason. So, at one time the Butorin people were at enmity with the Golitsinsky organized crime group. Subsequently, the Golitsynites surrendered, surrendered to the Butorin group all their wealth and spheres of influence and no longer claimed anything. However, the people of Butorin continued to kill those without stopping.

Orekhovskaya gang leader

Criminal authority

By 1993, Butorin had gained considerable authority in Odintsovo, other criminal groups began to listen to him, and his organized crime group became the only one that held Odintsovo.

In the same 1993, Alexander and Sergey Butorins met with Grigory Gusyatinsky, then the head of the Medvedkovskaya organized crime group. The latter was, in turn, the closest henchman of Sergei Timofeev, the current leader of the Orekhovskaya gang. Gusyatinsky recognized in the Butorin brothers those people he needed, and decided not to let them go far from himself. He later introduced them to Sergei Timofeev.

Further distribution went as follows. Belkin was left in Odintsovo to control criminal activity there. Butorin Jr. became the right hand of Gusyatinsky, various tasks were entrusted to him, which could not be trusted with other people. Sergei Butorin goes into the gang of Sergei Ananyevsky, nicknamed Kultik. After some time, he, as a member of the organized crime group, becomes the right hand of Sergei Timofeev (Sylvester).

Companion Detention

Later, in 1994, Alexander Butorin, Yevgeny Tokarev, as well as the head of the Medvedkovskaya organized crime group, Grigory Gusyatinsky, were detained in a completely different case. The criminals rented a summer house from a famous academician in the Moscow region, where they were detained by police officers. During a search of the summer cottage, detectives discovered a whole warehouse of firearms and ammunition for it. Only one Makarov pistol in the cache turned out to be twenty pieces. Subsequently, it was found that these pistols were stolen from a fire school located in the Irkutsk region. During the theft of these pistols, the watch school was killed.

Sergei Butorin from arrest that ill-fated day for the rest was saved only by the fact that, having learned about the detention of his other accomplices, he managed to hide. Later, the lawyers for the criminals managed to get the court to release all the detainees on bail.

Release and again detention

After their release, the trinity was met by the entire "lads" of which the organized criminal group consisted. But they were awaited not only by comrade criminals, but also by a special police detachment. The soldiers of the latter arrested the newly released criminals, as well as all who met them. Then the detainees were taken to the police department, where they “rolled the fingers”, made a video recording, and then released them. But Alexander Butorin and Evgeny Tokarev were not released, but sent to the capital. There, the criminals were charged with robbery committed by them against collector Magids.

After this incident, Gusyatinsky quickly left for Kiev, but was killed there by a killer hired by his own people who decided that he was no longer needed.

Apartment robbery investigation

After the arrest of Tokarev and Alexander Butorin, they were repeatedly interrogated, but the criminals denied all the charges, without admitting anything. The investigating authorities, however, also did not sit still. They carried out a number of investigative actions, including the identification of criminals by the victim Viktor Magids. The latter easily identified everyone. Events to show the suspects to the victim were carried out directly in the hospital, where Magids was cured. In addition to being recognized by Magids, Tokarev and A. Butorin gave testimonies of Stepanov. But the evidence base against criminals was not limited to this. In the robbery of the collector’s apartment, the hair belonging to the criminal was discovered and seized. Later, a forensic examination was conducted and it was established that this hair belongs to Butorin.

Thus, the guilt of the detainees was confirmed by fully found evidence.

Search for stolen antiques

But at the same time, investigators were worried by another question - where is the stolen? Of the stolen paintings in the capital, only one was found, which the police seized from Butorin just a couple of months before arresting him. The arrest at that time was made for the storage of firearms that were found in the trunk of a car. There, along with an automatic rifle, lay a picture that was seized “to the heap”. Later, the case was covered up, but the stolen painting remained somewhere to lie in the police department.

At a new investigation, this recent case, the investigators remembered, picked it up, found a picture that was returned to the owner. After some time, Interpol employees discovered six more stolen paintings that they wanted to sell through Sotheby`s auction. Victor Magids traveled to the UK on his own, where he took his property. However, then he still sold the paintings through this auction.

Victim Victor Magids died in 1995, the trial of the abductors of his property never began, so he did not have time to contemplate sending criminals to places of deprivation of liberty.

The trials in the criminal case, which Yevgeny Tokarev and Alexander Butorin were accused of, lasted about a year and a half. Before the court was to pass its verdict, the main witness, Vladimir Stepanov, was killed. He was shot right at his entrance, the gun was a gun.

Denouement

A few years later, more precisely in 2011, it turned out that Stepanov was killed by order of Sergei Butorin, and the murder was carried out by Marat Polyansky, who at that time worked for Butorin as his bodyguard. Despite this, Stepanov managed to give all the evidence necessary for the investigation, so that his murder did not affect the court's verdict.

Sergei Butorin’s brother was sentenced to 9 years in prison, but Yevgeny Tokarev was sent to a psychiatric clinic for treatment. Later Tokarev escaped from this hospital, they could not find him. Sergey Butorin, as already mentioned, received life imprisonment.

Not all people know where Sergey Butorin is sitting, why he was imprisoned, what crimes he committed, but some time ago he gave an interview to an information publication in which he spoke about his atrocities, about his attitude towards life at that time far time.
