One of the most important tools that are on the main panel is undoubtedly the Brush. Yes, Photoshop includes advanced drawing elements and allows you to create unusually beautiful graphic images. This is especially noticeable for those who use a graphics tablet, then the layers turn into a real canvas for artists, and the Photoshop environment becomes a workplace. A huge plus is that in graphic editors there is a very large set of colors and brushes, but, however, to use brushes for drawing in Photoshop, you need to know some nuances and subtleties.

Why do you need plenty of brushes?

Such moments often happen that the standard set of brushes is not enough to realize some ideas. Otherwise, after you set the brushes in Photoshop, it’s convenient to draw some elements. Object brushes can sometimes help - they paint a specific object (for example, ice cream, car, banana and others).

Of course, you can do something unique without additional brushes, but not everyone is capable of it. Do not add brushes to Photoshop thoughtlessly, because an overabundance of unnecessary tools can overflow your internal library. This can even lead to confusion and complicate the user experience.

If the user decided to set the brushes in Photoshop, it’s worth paying attention to what specific effect he wants to get from this tool. This is due to the fact that libraries with brush sets are very large. To find the brush you need, just go to the website with brushes on the Internet and find what the user needs in the sections (try writing in the search bar in the browser what you are looking for if you can describe the brush).

How to set brushes in Photoshop?

Once you find the right set of tools, you need to download them. It is best to create a separate folder and sort them by scope. So the user will be much easier to navigate in the downloaded brushes. It is worth noting that they have a file with ABR resolution.

After the brushes have been unpacked and added to the folder, we do this:

1. You should go into Adobe Photoshop and create any document.
2. Then we find the section "Editing" and the category "Sets".
3. In it, select the "Manage sets".
4. A window appears in which the brushes available to the user are presented.
5. On the right, click on "Download" and look for the previously created folder.

Some creators of projects related to brushes incorrectly interpret their size, so the user of the program needs to decide on his own. Try changing the value in the "Size" field to achieve the desired effect and scale. It should be remembered that the size of the brush varies in diameter.

Try experimenting with rigidity if you have this option available. The lower the percentage value of stiffness for the paint brushes in Photoshop, the less clear the trace from it. When the borders are absolutely soft (with a hardness index of 0%), a gray gradient forms at the place of transition from the center of the brush to the edge, which gives visual blur.

It is also worth paying attention to the position of the brush, which can be changed in the interactive menu (this helps especially when the trace from it is a graphic object). If you have selected the Brush tool, you can use the Shift + Alt hotkey and click the right mouse button. An interactive window will pop up, in which it is possible to change the color of the brush without performing a longer operation through the toolbar.
