Programs for writing music on a computer are mostly designed for professionals and have all the necessary functionality to create a real masterpiece. But among them there are also those that enable beginners to learn something for themselves, in order to subsequently move to a more complex one. From this it turns out that the best program for writing music, whether Russian, foreign, for each his own, it all depends on the level and ability. This article lists the most common and noteworthy programs.
PreSonus Studio One Pro
PreSonus Studio One Pro runs on both the Windows operating system and the X Mac. Within its capabilities, functionality that allows you to both record audio and perform mastering on sound. You can also work with MIDI data.
The advantage of this program for writing music is that it suits both beginners and real pros. For the first, it does not have an abundance of settings that confuse novice users who first open an unfamiliar program, for the second, it has everything necessary for, in fact, writing music on a computer.
Studio One appeared relatively recently, and although it was released by the foreign company PreSonus, this program for writing music in Russian is also available. There is also a Russian manual to it.
Among the supported plugins, in addition to the common ReWire, AU and VST, there is also a new VST3. Exclusively from the developer, Native Effects Suite plugins are included, allowing you to use a variety of effects. It is important that all of the above features are available with double precision.
Fl studio
But FL Studio, on the contrary, has long been on the market and has gained many fans who sincerely believe that it is better to find no program for writing music on a computer. Previously, the product was called Fruity Loops (in honor of the hero of the movie "Hackers"). It supports VST / DX plugins, records on several tracks at once, and works with the MIDI data in advanced mode. This allows you not to dwell on one direction of music, but to work with completely different genres and styles. Export of finished files is possible in MP3, MIDI, WAV and OGG.
However, FL Studio is not very suitable for beginners who just select programs for writing music for themselves and are looking for a powerful but understandable one. The interface of this product, although not entirely complex, still has many pitfalls and features that are useless for a beginner.
FL Studio is available in seven editions, including express, demo and mobile versions. Many of the plugins that this software product works with are also presented as separately released applications.
As of January last year, forty-two plug-in generators were involved in the program. However, it is worth considering that not all of them are provided to the user in full - some work only as demo versions.
Adobe Audition CC
Adobe Audition CC (formerly called Cool Edit Pro) is a program for recording and editing audio. By manufacturers, it is positioned as a product for professional work with sound.
The latest version of the program from the Creative Cloud line has received extended functionality: in addition to the main features, automatic audio equalization, replacement of sound with a studio one (moreover, with synchronization), work with adjacent clips and tracks have been added.
Product Adobe Audition CC has a simple, intuitive interface. Like all programs of this company, the licensed version can be purchased on the official website, and to work with it in Russian, you need to install a separate crack. The disadvantage of the program: to use you need a computer with sufficient power, otherwise the computer begins to "freeze". This is a problem for all Adobe products, with the possible exception of only PDF Reader. The program is also released only in the 64-bit version. The last (eighth) re-release of Adobe Audition CC so far was in June 2015.
MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio
The name of this program for writing music is straightforward. MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio is the lightest and at the same time quite functional studio.
The latest version of the product - 2016 - was released recently. Unfortunately, there is no crack for it yet, but the previous ones are also presented in multilingual format.
MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio has many advantages: it supports a huge number of audio formats, is compatible with most operating systems and allows you to publish a recorded masterpiece on the network, importing it immediately from the application. The number of built-in special effects and tools simply cannot fail to amaze. The overall good impression of the program is supported by the guitar and bass amps.
MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio 2016 provides users with nineteen virtual instruments and 24-bit / 96 kHz studio recording quality. Keeping up with her “colleagues”, she also works with several tracks. MIDI data in the new version supplemented MIDI-Learn, and control became possible with MAGIX Audio Remote.
Cakewalk sonar
Another "monster" presented on the market for software products for writing music. Cakewalk SONAR is famous for the fact that with its help you can make really high-quality mixes. That's why the product has long been put into circulation by professional DJs to create sets and their own compositions.
But Cakewalk SONAR attracts not only the masters of their craft: thanks to the intuitive interface and extensive functionality, more and more beginners are choosing this program to write music on a computer.
The product has many unique components, and with each new version, SONAR is improving its brainchild more and more. On the Internet you can find both English and Russian versions of Cakewalk SONAR. They are all available for download.
Linux MultiMedia Studio
A free analog synthesizer available for Linux and Windows. Like most products made under Linux, it has the advantage of accessibility and quality, and also does not "load" the computer and OS.
Linux MultiMedia Studio is called an analogue of FL Studio. But we can say that this is a full-fledged multifunctional program for writing music. The Russian version of the product is in the public domain, as well as the English one - finding it is not difficult.
LMMS works seamlessly with multiple audio tracks, reads most audio formats. It is possible to use LADSPA plugins, and effects can be applied to any instruments, even drums.
