Not so long ago, the brainchild of Microsoft Corporation in the form of the latest "OS" Windows 10 was perceived in the global computer community is completely ambiguous. In particular, the criticism concerned too strong restrictions regarding the full configuration and management of the Windows 10 OS itself. “Your organization manages some parameters” - a frequently appearing message from this category. Let us dwell on why and when it appears, and also consider some methods for safely disconnecting it.

What does it mean “Your organization manages certain parameters”?

The problem of the appearance of such an inscription on a computer monitor or on a laptop screen when configuring the parameters should initially be understood as a kind of restriction when accessing certain functions of the system. In other words, even if the user has installed the official version of the system, he cannot control it and apply the settings that he needs, and not someone else.

And here it is necessary to clarify that the management organization does not mean any company in which a person can work (after all, the lock screen “Your organization manages some parameters” when a computer is not connected to any enterprise may appear on home terminals). Here, such an organization can be either the administrator of the local computer or the domain administrator (roughly speaking, the system administrator), if the terminal is connected to a single local network.

And in some unforeseen situations, even the actions of the administrator can lead to the occurrence of such a problem (if anyone does not know, starting with the "seven", the so-called "Super Admin" has appeared in the system, on behalf of which it is sometimes necessary to run some applications, and it does not matter that the user has an admin account with all the appropriate rights). It is believed that the most likely causes of a blocking are a gross interference with the system or disabling some of its critical components for the correct functioning of the user. Roughly speaking, the system blocks some configuration changes to prevent possible crashes and malfunctions that could lead to the complete inoperability of Windows 10. “Your organization manages some parameters” - it also signals that the system itself has blocked access to mutable parameters at the administrator or even super administrator level.

Unfortunately, many of us know firsthand how harmful Windows is, and its limitations are often not justified at all. Nevertheless, there is sound grain in this. However, we make a reservation right away: you should not be scared of the warning that your organization controls certain parameters. This is not critical, and such a screen is removed quite simply. But more on that later.

Purpose of default restrictions

Now a few words about why it was necessary to introduce such harsh measures. According to many experts, despite all the means of self-healing, Windows 10, like all its predecessors, is quite vulnerable in terms of unauthorized changes to critical parameters.

Here, perhaps, they can be interpreted as some kind of protection against inexperienced users, such as how important system folders and files are hidden in the OS itself, changing or accidentally deleting them can most dramatically affect the performance of the entire system.

Of course, there are no questions regarding the security of local computer networks, because they usually use the same settings for group policies, which increases the level of security of the same enterprise. And not every manager or system administrator wants to create a gap as a result of changing such parameters in the overall system. The logic is iron, you can’t argue. But here is what to do to a user who is not tied to a “LAN” or to any particular enterprise, but works with a computer exclusively at home, and on the screen suddenly for no reason appears the inscription: “Your organization manages some parameters”? How to disable it, what to do? The user begins to rush from side to side in search of a solution, and some go so far as to format partitions and reinstall the system, believing that they have caught the virus. Agree, this is not pleasant. Nevertheless, even if a message appears on the screen stating that your organization controls some parameters, there is still a solution to eliminate this trouble.

Why change the default settings

Of course, now we are not talking about turning off the lock screen in order to conduct some experiments with the system. In most cases, even with critical failures, it can be restored.

Here the question, rather, is that the user wants to remove the lock to ensure the creation of their own most convenient settings and parameters for him. Naturally, it is not recommended to do such procedures without the necessary knowledge, but for advanced users this makes sense. Most often this may concern specific software, which without the ability to change the system configuration simply will not work, or the personalization of permissions for some of its purposes, but you never know what. Some may object, they say, install yourself a virtual machine and do what you want in it. And if such a possibility is absent (if only because of a weak computer configuration or a lack of RAM or disk space), or the user simply does not want to install it?

It often happens that the system itself at a certain stage of work suggested changing the group policy settings, and the user agreed, just not looking. This is where additional knowledge comes in handy.

Is it possible to disable the lock, and who can do it?

Now, we come to the urgent issue of disabling the blocker, issuing the string "Your organization manages some parameters." How to remove it once and for all, it will be said a little later, but now let's see who can perform such a shutdown.

Windows, although tough in this regard, can be circumvented by its limitations quite simply. It is a matter of group policies, and not only the admin can configure them, but even the local user himself, whose terminal is on the network. Yes Yes! This possibility is, however, provided that access to some components of the system is not limited by the network administrator himself (although, by and large, you can bypass them). But now is not about that.

Change registry keys

So, we have a message in Windows 10 “Your organization manages some parameters.” There are several ways to eliminate it and disable the blocking module in general. The most acceptable and easiest are considered to be changes in the registry settings. The editor is entered by entering the regedit command on the Run menu (Win + R).

Here we are interested in the Policies section, which is located in the HKLM folder tree. There is a subfolder of Personalization in the section itself. To the right of the window is the DWORD NoLockScreen parameter. It just needs to be removed. It is extremely important to make a backup copy of the registry (export line in the file menu) before carrying out this operation, but as they say, you never know what.

Using Group Policy Settings

More effective in this regard is the change in the settings of group policies, although many experts recognize this method as quite unsafe.

Here we need to enter the appropriate editor. To do this, use the gpedit.msc command, entered, again, in the Run menu. Now go to the computer configuration, go down to the section of administrative templates and find there the menu of all settings (All Settings). On the right, you can disable everything that really interferes with the work. To do this, first sort the components by state (Enabled / Disabled enabled or disabled). It is desirable that the included components are on top. Now the values ​​of each such parameter must be set to the “Not configured” state. Basically, it’s okay to turn everything off. Disabling the lock screen from the command line

Another way to disable locking is to use the command line. Most users of such commands do not know, but as an example we give one of them.

We call the command line (cmd in the "Run" menu) and write the following in it:

Sometimes it is recommended to disable the so-called Windows Defender Defender, but it, as a rule, does not particularly affect the blocking of access to changing critical settings. Such cases are extremely rare.

In some cases, you can try to disable the means by which the system itself monitors the actions of the user, uses them to determine the location (telemetry), etc. But these are, so to speak, side effects.

What to do if login after changes has become impossible?

It also happens that either by negligence, or by chance the user does something wrong, after which logging into the system is impossible, or the system simply refuses to work.

Here you will need to do the recovery, but only using a system drive or bootable flash drive with a password reset account, if any.

Disable the lock or not: that’s the question

Finally, the most important thing: is it worth disabling the lock on the system side? If the problem is that the screen appears only in cases of installation or operation of specific programs and their components, which are official and should work in the Windows 10 environment, as they say, ironically, then of course. But if the user is trying to experiment with setting critical parameters, this is not recommended. In an extreme case, it is better to make a backup copy of the registry, as well as user files stored on the computer in advance, since the result may not be exactly what it was expected to be. The same goes for the restrictions placed on network terminals by system administrators.
