How to keep roses in a vase - tips and tricks

It is hard to find someone who would not love roses at all. A bouquet of these beautiful flowers is a great gift or addition to it, and it is absolutely appropriate in any situation. It is interesting that in the old days its interpretation depended on the number of flowers in a bouquet: one rose was given as a sign of attention, three were respected, and seven roses meant a declaration of love. Also of great importance were the color and shape of the flowers. Some echoes of traditions live to this day (for example, it is believed that a yellow rose means separation or separation), but almost no one associates the language of flowers with what the bouquet giver really wanted to say. In any case, getting such a beautiful gift is very nice, and I want to admire it for more than one day. Therefore, you should know how to keep roses in a vase, so that they please the look as long as possible and remain fresh.

There is a belief that flowers presented with love stand for a long time. The most interesting thing is that there is some truth in this, perhaps because in this case the bouquet is selected with great care, not on the principle of โ€œjust decently and not very expensiveโ€, but really from the heart. And in order to keep the cut roses for a long period of time, it is very important that they get into the vase still fresh, and not stand before this week from the seller. However, in any case, you need to know that if the flowers have not yet completely wilted, then they can be reanimated, and sometimes this can be done even when the heads of the roses have already dropped slightly. Of course, in this situation it will not be possible to get a long-term result, but still the bouquet will please the eye a couple of days longer.

When asked how to keep roses in a vase, there are many answers. The easiest and most effective way is to immerse the flowers in a bath of water. Immediately under water, you need to slightly cut the stems, and then flatten them a little in order to release air from the incision and fill the capillaries with water. You can also peel the flower stems from the bark (about 4-5 cm), and remove all the lower leaves. In principle, to refresh and restore the appearance of flowers, it is enough to lie in the water for several hours, but it is much more effective to leave them like this all night.

Along with the above method, you should know how to save a bouquet of roses without resorting to "soaking" the flowers? It is not always possible to lower the roses into the bathroom, so there are many tips on how to keep roses in a vase. So it is possible:

- add a couple of tablespoons of sugar or a tablet of aspirin to a vase with a bouquet;

- add vodka or alcohol to the water (a little less than a glass), preferably in combination with the addition of sugar;

- pour boiling water into a vase and put roses in it.

The latter remedy, with all its unexpectedness, is positioned as very effective for situations when flowers have already begun to fade.

There are also general tips on how to keep roses in a vase. It is necessary not to put the flowers in too warm or, conversely, cold water. It is also necessary to trim the stems and pick off the lower leaves, and the cut must be made at an angle. Such manipulation should be carried out under water, for example, under a tap. A vase of flowers should not be placed in the bright sun, and it is important to change the water in it regularly. If roses are presented in a package, then you should not immediately unfold it, since a special microclimate is created inside, which helps the flowers adapt faster. Therefore, it is better to put a packed bouquet in a vase (of course, this is not a newspaper, in which flowers are sometimes wrapped in severe frost, but professional packaging), but if its appearance in the package offends the best aesthetic feelings, then it can be removed after a few hours. It is also very important to admire the roses from the bottom of your heart, in which case they also last longer!
