A bit of history

During the Great Patriotic War, the air hub was engaged in the delivery of mail and cargo for various purposes in the most remote areas of Kazakhstan. In August 1942, the Stalingrad aviation school was opened at the Kostanai airfield, which trained pilots for the front.
After the war, the Kostanay airfield resumed passenger flights and agricultural flights. By 1970, the new Kostanay air complex was built and opened, which has been successfully operating to this day.
