Many of us remember the times in childhood when we went fishing, having with us one equipment - a zakidushka. This method of fishing has proven itself very well in bodies of water with stagnant water. In some cases, the gum can be successfully used during the course.
How does this tackle work?
Everything is quite simple - due to the elastic band of the fishing line with hooks, it goes into the water at a specific fishing place. In this way, we decide where to stop the snap. The gum can stretch almost five times. That is, having 10 meters of gum available, we will be able to throw equipment at a distance of about 50 meters.
According to their functionality, snacks can be divided into two groups:
- tackle for peaceful fish;
- catfish stew (you can make it yourself).
For peaceful fish - this is a classic version of gear that can be purchased (already fully prepared) in the store. The equipment includes such elements: reel, elastic, fishing line with hooks and leashes. You can slightly improve this equipment: put on the junction between the rubber and fishing line anti-twist. In this case, the winding of the leashes will be minimized. The number of hooks on the classic version of the zakidushka is from 5 to 7. There is no more sense to set, as this will only aggravate the process.
I want to briefly describe such a fishing method as a catfish thrower. With your own hands, this tackle is very simple to manufacture, and you do not need to make large investments in equipment. The method is very simple and also quite productive. What is needed for this:
- fishing gum;
- fishing line with a diameter of not less than 0.7 ml;
- hooks;
- reel.
This tackle is a kind of thrower. With our own hands, many of us in the past made similar, only to peaceful fish. The essence has not changed: we attach the elastic to the fishing line, we put leashes on it. The difference between a classic rubber band and a catfish pad is that we must have leashes about 1 m long. This is necessary so that the bait is in the upper layer of water. Equipped with such a hook three hooks - no longer makes sense due to the long leashes. The size of the hooks depends on the bait chosen.
The scope of this equipment is not wide rivers, where one part is thrown or attached on the opposite bank and with the help of an elastic band they throw the bait into the place of fishing. All the work is done with a rubber blanket. With our own hands we only regulate the release of fishing line.
How does a catfish piddle work?
Catfish is a nocturnal predator, so when it gets dark it goes out to feed. Feeding places - shallow clean areas, surface of the reservoir. We place in advance our gum not far from the predator's parking spots in a clean area. The transfer will keep the bait in the place where the catfish walks. By stretching the gum you can adjust the depth of immersion snap. Sufficiently long leashes will give free rein to live bait, and it will look natural. It should be noted that this is possible only for such gear as a dummy. Do-it-yourself tackle makes it possible to customize it to a specific fishing location.
Some fishing tips
- As a bait, it is recommended to use such components that are firmly “sitting on the hook” so that it does not fly off during fishing line fishing.
- On the reel you need to leave a supply of fishing line. This is necessary to clear the line if the fish is too large.
- Do not use many hooks on a snap such as a dummy. With your own hands making tackle, try to maintain a sufficient interval between the leashes so that there is no overlapping.
- If you fish on the course, and it is strong enough, then the gum should be placed at an angle. The shore on which the elastic is attached should be located down the river. If you do the opposite - the current can break the gum.
- Do not place several such gear in one place - this is fraught with their confusion.
- If you need to lower the bait closer to the bottom, use small weights on leashes.
