The well-known Finnish brand Nokia has established itself as a wealthy and quite competitive manufacturer of mobile devices with a wide variety of modifications. But, probably, not everyone knows about the hidden possibilities that engineering settings provide by entering the so-called secret code.
Nokia Security Code, or Total Defense Strategy
Did you know that Nokia, since the release of its first products, has implemented a certain security algorithm in the software of its phones and has constantly improved
its global protection
strategy ? By the way, the company's engineers have achieved amazing success in this area! The phone’s standard settings, even for the Nokia budget line, make it easy to implement the optimal level of protection for a mobile device. However, more on this ...
How reliable is the Nokia security code ?
Today, nothing is absolutely reliable. Nevertheless, almost all the leading companies in the world specializing in the development and production of mobile phones, as well as electronic hybrid devices, seek to protect themselves and their consumers as best and as possible from unauthorized actions by intruders and even competitors. As already mentioned, no one can give an absolute guarantee, therefore it is only worth noting the fact that the Nokia security code is able to withstand unwanted access only in the absence of special technical means: programmers and service programs that can read information from memory blocks closed even for a user who owns a
secure phone. It is worth noting that, as such, the “Nokia” codes are nothing more than service commands that allow the publication of various kinds of information on the device’s screen.
For example, the following commands are entered:
- 12345 - default security code "Nokia", configured by default;
- * # 06 # - is a command through which the information of the current imei-identifier is displayed on the phone screen;
- * # 0000 # - data on the firmware of the device, hardware version, date of manufacture of the phone, etc. are displayed;
- * # 92702689 # - almost complete information about the phone, including the total operating time of the device and much more;
- * # 7370 # - allows you to reset user settings to factory settings, that is, with this code your phone will return to its original state;
- * # 7780 # - actions similar to the previous command, except for the loss of user data located directly in the phone’s memory area.
Are there Nokia secret codes ?
The very concept of “secret” loses its semantic meaning, since we are talking about them! Therefore, do not be fooled ... In fact, secret codes are ordinary engineering codes with which a variety of tests and settings are performed. Of course, when using them, you can achieve some changes in the functionality of the mobile device: increase the volume of the polyphonic speaker, display brightness, change the font size , etc. In essence, these are the same service codes, but with an illiterate approach and ignorance of the consequences using these commands, you can violate the correctness of the functioning apparatus. Therefore, do not experiment, as the consequences can be tragic for your mobile phone.
