Omsk-Tsentralny is an international communications airport located just five kilometers from the city center. The unique architectural construction of the terminal allows serving about 700 travelers per hour, and up to 800 thousand per year. Technical features
Omsk-Central is an airport that receives and sends aircraft in two lanes. One of them is asphalt concrete, measuring 2500 meters by 80 meters. It is designed for a weight of not more than 191 tons. The second strip is unpaved, 100 m wide and 2800 m long. Thanks to this, the airfield is able to receive aircraft of various types. Among them are A-310, An-24, Il-76, Tu-154, Yak-42 and other well-known air buses, as well as various types of helicopters.
There are 40 parking lots for air transport on the airfield territory, special roads, a gas station, and places for processing aircraft aircraft with anti-icing liquid are also equipped. A modest beginning - the path to new heights
In the summer of 1925 a document was signed on the allocation of land for the airfield. After only a year, Omsk-Tsentralny (airport) became the final stop of the historical flight with a distance of 4800 km without landing, which passed the route from France to Russia. In 1927, an airplane was taken from Moscow to Tokyo. Developing gradually, in the 90s the airport achieved the highest successes in servicing passengers, cargo transportation and delivering correspondence by mail.
Today, from the central airport in Omsk, a high-speed route through the clouds to Turkey, India, and Kazakhstan is open.
