Above them, a so-called pelenator is often installed. The highlight of this bed is its design. After a few years, the child grows up and you will need to purchase larger furniture. But with a transforming bed you will not bother in search of a new thing, since it has an adjustable length. That is, the size of a standard crib - a transformer can vary depending on the height of the child. Its design allows you to turn a small bed for newborns into a full bed for a 3-4-year-old child. This is a significant cost savings.
And the last type - beds - playpens. They have a plastic (in some cases metal) base, which is covered with natural or synthetic fabric in the form of a mesh. Unlike the “transformer", the sizes of a standard crib - playpen are not adjustable depending on the height of the baby. But at the same time, they perform several functions at once: they are not only a berth, but also a great place for games.

Before you visit a furniture store, you must decide on the dimensions of the thing. Often a children's bed for newborns has a length of about 120 centimeters. Its width at the same time is about 60 centimeters. Such sizes of a standard crib are the best option for babies returning up to three years.
Also do not forget about the correct location of the crib. Most often, parents install it near the window, near the batteries. In some cases, this is correct, but do not forget that your child may be at risk of colds, as a draft can penetrate through the window (unless, of course, you have metal-plastic ones). Always remember that the dimensions of the crib should contribute to a comfortable and healthy sleep for the baby.
