Childhood
Anna Nikolaevna Shatilova (nee Solomatina) was born on November 26, 1938 near Moscow, in the small village of Shikhovo. This village subsequently became one of the districts of the city of Zvenigorod. My father was engaged in the manufacture of Russian musical instruments. In addition to Anna, the family included sister Maria and brother Sergey. Their childhood fell on hard war years. After the declaration of war, his father, Nikolai Solomatin, went to the front, where he soon went missing. Six decades later, relatives managed to find out that he died in 1943 in a prisoner of war camp, near the German city of Leipzig.
Mom worked as a cook in an orphanage for orphans, whose parents died. From the age of five, the girl Anya successfully recited poems from the stage, which she continued at school, adding to this amateur art classes. Anna Nikolaevna Shatilova successfully studied at school and graduated with her gold medalist.
Study at the institute
After graduation, Anna entered the Pedagogical Institute named after Nadezhda Konstantinovna Krupskaya at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. She studied successfully, but she did not have an interest in the exact sciences. Anna wanted something more unusual, bright. In Soviet times, after the third year of the institute, Anna, along with fellow students, was sent to the virgin lands in Altai Territory. Working days were very difficult and lasted about three weeks. Students were engaged in harvesting grain, beets. Having arrived from the virgin lands, Anna saw in one of the corridors of the institute an announcement that a competition was being held for the vacancy of an announcer at the State Radio and Television. By submitting documents for this competition, Anna Shatilova successfully won it. After working for several years on the radio, Anna Nikolaevna continued her career on television.
Carier start
Since 1962, Anna Nikolaevna Shatilova began to work on television. She later admitted: the announcer’s work is creative and interesting, only at first glance does it seem easy. Not only professional skills are important here, but also an impeccable look, well-delivered speech. At the peak of her creative enthusiasm, Anna transferred to the Faculty of Philology at the same institute, but already to the correspondence department (this was due to the intense work). Some of the colleagues quit the profession, unable to cope with the pace and stress. Anna Nikolaevna, having a strong-willed character, did not retreat, but persistently comprehended the basics of skill. In this she was assisted by older and more experienced colleagues, including Olga Vysotskaya, Vladimir Gertsik and Yuri Levitan. Thus began the highly successful career of television announcer Anna Shatilova. For several decades, Igor Kirillov, People's and Honored Artist of the RSFSR and the USSR, was her co-host on the Vremya, Novosti, and Blue Lights programs.
For the first time in the Vremya program, she voiced the news with Yevgeny Suslov. Before, the speakers in the frame were not shown, they were given a command through the headphones - at what pace should the information be read. Because of this, there were many inaccuracies and hitches, but improvisation was prohibited. The presenters had to remain silent, even appealing to the audience in order to explain the reason was not considered possible.

A sharp turn occurred in the biography of Anna Shatilova, a television announcer, in 1973, when she was invited to Japan on television, for the role of the host of the program “Speak Russian”. By that time, her work experience in this area was 11 years. Anna Nikolaevna worked all year on Japanese television. He worked as an engineer, was a huge connoisseur of classical music, painting and literature. They lived a long and happy life in marriage. Eight years ago, Alexei Borisovich passed away. Possessing a literary gift and encyclopedic knowledge, he instilled it in his son Cyril, who was born on January 31, 1967. Kirill Shatilov successfully graduated from Moscow State University (Romano-Germanic branch), specializing in English, Danish and French. He works in foreign companies. Married, wife Alina is from Stavropol, a philologist by education, but does not work, but deals with children, her husband, and home. Anna Nikolaevna is the grandmother of two wonderful grandchildren: Vsevolod and Svetoslav, born in 2002 and 2004. The family has strong, trusting relationships, including between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law. In an interview, Anna admits: the family spends a lot of time in the country.
