In addition to integrating several of the most popular social networks, this browser (surprisingly) has a built-in torrent client that saves users from using additional programs to download or online view such content, and even its own media player (which is also not news).
The first testers with might and main talk about the incredible speed of the browser. But is it? In fact, any browser immediately after installation, as they say, flies, and then it accumulates such an amount of garbage that it is sometimes simply impossible to remove it even with the help of optimizer programs. And this does not concern the cache, but the extensions and additions installed during the operation of the applet, which can be installed in the background without the participation of the user (he may not even know about this).
In addition, the browser noticed another negative feature. It is able to behave like an advertising virus, installing advertising applets in its own shell and redirecting to all kinds of websites with useless advertisements, which can often contain viral executable codes. It is clear that there can be no question of any security here.
In general, all Chromium-like browsers in most cases are the main target of attacks. Their defense system is so weak that it penetrates any, even the most primitive virus.
Orbitum program: how to disable the appearance of new windows and uninstall the application?
But let's see what can be done to disable pop-ups (for starters). At a minimum, you should use specialized add-ons.
Install in AdBlock extensions. At the very least, this will save you from the constant appearance of additional windows and menus. Do not like this option, use the activation of the built-in Safe Browsing technology from Yandex, which should also warn the user about an attempt to visit potentially dangerous pages. But why is it needed there? Any antivirus of the Smart Security category at the input defines such resources quite simply. And here there may still be a conflict between the browser itself, the antivirus and the Windows protection tools.
But back to the question of how to remove Orbitum. Usually this can be done quite simply through the programs and components section of the Control Panel. The only question is that after this you will have to delete registry entries, files and directories that will remain after the standard uninstaller is triggered.
