His career on television could be envied by anyone who wants to become a real coryphaeus in the field of journalism. At the age of forty, he had already become deputy general director of the popular federal television channel VGTRK. But the range of his professional interests has already gone beyond the professional sphere, and today Evgeny Revenko is focused on the political activities that he carries out while remaining in the ranks of United Russia. What is known about this undoubtedly talented television journalist and how his career was built?
Years of childhood and youth
Eugene Revenko was born on May 22, 1972 in the village of Sovetskiy (Kupinsky district, Novosibirsk region). His father was a pilot in the rank of officer, his mother worked as an accountant in a military unit. The family often moved from place to place, the childhood of the future journalist was spent in Chkalovsk near Moscow.
Even at school, Eugene began to dream about the sky and was preparing to follow in his father's footsteps. But a teenager's vision began to deteriorate over time. Despite this, Evgeni Revenko did not lose hope of connecting his life with military affairs. He was thinking about learning and becoming a party political officer in the army, but the pilots did not like the representatives of this profession, and the young man refuses this idea. But his choice nevertheless fell on the “military” university. Eugene Revenko decided to become a journalist in the "army" profile. The young man successfully passes entrance exams to the Lviv Higher Military-Political School. For three years he gnawed at the granite of science, until the great Land of Soviets died.
First steps in a career
Soon after, Evgeni Revenko, whose biography is of interest to aspiring journalists, goes to conquer the capital in order to maximize his professional potential. The first place of his work was the famous radio station "Youth". Eugene was entrusted with the broadcast of the Youth Field program, which was popular at that time.
Soon after, he got a job as a news correspondent.

Having gained experience on the radio, the young man decided to try himself on television. He successfully passed an interview on the TV-6 channel and became the first person on the program “Scandals of the Week”. With work on the radio over time had to be tied. But the prospect of delving into “dirty linen” for a long time, which, in fact, was proposed by the “Scandals of the Week” project, did not appeal to the young man very much. And fortune really smiled at Eugene. At NTV he was asked to show "trial work." He took a vacation on TV-6 and began to prepare material. As a result, a report on the topic of the meeting of the Union of Officers was obtained for the Today information program. Employees of the "new" television liked the material. Oleg Dobrodeev (one of the leaders of NTV) suggested that Revenko conclude an employment contract, however, with a probationary period. Naturally, Eugene agrees. The young man stops working with TV-6 and goes on to work for NTV. But earnings in the new place remained the same.
Evgeny Revenko, whose photo today is known to almost every journalist, at that time made very strong friends with Oleg Dobrodeev, who assisted him in any matter concerning his work. But after some time, "patron" Eugene will go to work at the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. Revenko will experience a lack of communication with Dobrodeev and he will call Oleg Borisovich himself to talk with him. And he will offer Revenko to join the friendly ranks of the VGTRK television company, but in what capacity, he did not specify.

As a result, Eugene falls into the staff of the leading evening news releases of the Vesti program. A year later, he himself will come up with a news program called "News of the Week" and become its host.
In the summer of 2003, Revenko left his brainchild and took the position of first assistant to the head of the Information Programs Directorate of the Rossiya TV channel. In his new status, Eugene oversees programs such as Vesti, Vesti-Moscow, Special Correspondent, Honest Detective.
Then Eugene will be offered an even higher position - an assistant to the head of the Department of Mass Communications, Culture and Education. The journalist will head the press service of the government of M. Fradkov.
In 2007, he worked in Ukraine as a correspondent for the Rossiya channel. After some time, Revenko again became the host of the Vesti Nedeli program.
In 2012, Eugene became deputy general director of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, and then head of the Information Programs Directorate of Rossiya TV Channel.
Politics
During the 2016 parliamentary elections, Yevgeny Revenko put forward his candidacy from the list of "United Russia" to get into the regional party group in the Voronezh region. The results exceeded his expectations. The journalist took first place and secured the support of almost 70% of voters. As a result, he was nominated in parliament. Revenko also entered the structure of the operational headquarters of ER and was forced to leave the VGTRK television channel.
