Fairy tales in the genres of children's literature

The first acquaintance with the art of words begins for each person with a fairy tale, regardless of nationality or religion. And what is especially interesting is the fact that all folk tales are in essence very similar! Be it Tajik or Albanian, Russian or English - they all have their own special fairy tale signs. Only the images of fairy-tale creatures and the names of the heroes change, and the essence of the fairy tale remains the same.

Almost every fairy tale begins with the beginning: “In a certain kingdom ... they lived - they were ...” And it ends with the generally accepted ending: “Well, who listened was great!” Or “And they began to live - live ...” These features (the beginning and ending) are - fabulous signs.

The third feature is a triple repetition of any action. For this, probably, even children mostly have three heroes! And no matter what the main characters try to do, only the third time they get it right. Or they have to solve three problems, fulfill three desires, meet with three travelers.

And since this art of writing was born for children in ancient times, it was reflected in a beautiful folk language. Try to start telling a fairy tale, and obsolete words and idioms, sayings and folk epithets intertwine themselves in a speech. If the girl is surely red, and even such a beauty, "what to say in a fairy tale, not to describe with a pen." And well done, he’s always good there, and his head is so disastrous and violent! That is why such fairy-tale signs in the fairy tale as a special fairy-tale language, in which obsolete words and indivisible phrases are necessarily found, are also distinguished .

And one can’t do without a fairy tale without fiction, magic or personification. Either flowers talk, sometimes animals, or even a carpet-plane in the sky flies, or a miracle-yudo many-headed causes heroes to fight. Both fiction and the struggle between good and evil are also noted as fabulous signs. Grade 2 is usually well versed in all these subtleties. Certainly, fairy tales have other features, other signs and features, but for children seven to eight years old it’s enough to highlight these basic ones.

Although, of course, someone can argue: in the modern fairy-tale world there are many such works in which fairy-tale signs are not found! The debaters can answer this way: there are such works for children. There are no beginnings and endings, outdated words, and threefold repetition. And only such fabulous signs as fiction remained in these literary creations. Most likely, they can be attributed to fantastic or fairy tales, and not to fairy tales in the sense that we have in mind when speaking about the linguistic features of this literary genre.

Moreover, fairy tales basically belong to short works. After all, they composed them during evening work at a spinning wheel or knitting, in one specific group. Tomorrow already completely different people could come to gatherings, and yesterday's, on the contrary, could not come. Therefore, tales fit exactly in one evening. And if we talk about long fairy tales, for example, “Nils Traveling with Wild Geese” or “Carlson, who lives on the roof”, then these wonderful and interesting works should most likely be attributed to fairy tales.

Time is running forward, not only our life, but also literature is changing. Naturally, children's fairy tales also change their style, their appearance. It’s not scary if the children notice it, even commendable. Perhaps it’s even worth emphasizing that in school, studying fairy tales, we are talking mainly about folk tales. Although there are author's tales in which writers try to preserve all the fabulous signs on a full scale. But the most important thing is that in all fairy tales good necessarily conquers evil!
