The Puppet Theater (Rostov-on-Don) bears the name of the person who for many years was his artistic director. Vladimir Bylkov appeared here in 1968. His productions immediately attracted the attention of the public, each of his performances was a sensation. The work was fresh, innovative. His performances "Devil's Mill", "Divine Comedy" and "Bedbug" made a lot of noise, there were so many people who wanted to get on them that the police had to disperse them.

After graduating from the University of Culture, he became a director. Since 1998, Andrei Vladimirovich is also a teacher. He trains future puppeteers.

In 2003, Andrei Vladimirovich became the main director of the Rostov Puppet Theater.

Among other things, he writes poetry, recently even published a collection of his works.

Another merit of A. Bylkov is that the Museum of Playing Dolls appeared at the theater.

In 2004, Andrei Vladimirovich was appointed artistic director of the Rostov Puppet Theater.

The diocese of the city claims the building in which the troupe operates, claiming that it belonged to the church earlier and must now be returned.
