"Good intentions"
Talking about morality is difficult with some people. Striving for material wealth, they are ready for anything in order to achieve the desired result. Many women consciously choose prostitution for themselves. It seems to them an easy way to earn money. Forgetting all the bounds of decency, they sell themselves to anyone who is willing to pay for it.
The situation leads to the fact that over time people appear who express a desire to lead such a process. Pimps are people (usually a man) who create similar conditions for women to work. Their responsibilities include:
- customer search ;
- advertising of the proposed service;
- providing conditions for work (apartment, hotel and others);
- protection of their wards.
Women can only fulfill their direct duties. But pimps are not some benefactors. In their actions there is no altruism and good intentions. For their work, they respectively pay. This is not a one-time help or a single service. Entrepreneurial citizens put activity in this direction on the stream. Moreover, the pimp in this case does not turn out to be a “workmate,” but the owner of a prostitute, since all the controlling levers are currently in his hands.
A bit of history
Women who are engaged in prostitution have been in Russia for a long time. A few centuries ago, there were special brothels where anyone could come and use the woman’s service for money. And only female representatives were allowed to act as a host. This was done in order to exclude the possibility of assault and excessive cruelty towards subordinates. Her occupation was called "pandering." Very often, these women were called "mothers." And the pimps were the men who ran prostitution on the street. Of course, the conditions and contingent of the attendants there were not the same as in the brothel. Accordingly, the payment for services was taken much lower. The incomes of the pimp and mommies are incommensurable, and their position in society is incomparable. If quite wealthy and high-ranking persons sometimes visited a brothel, then only a low-income man could afford a girl on the street.
Law guard
Many people have always had a negative attitude towards pandering. And if you consider that sometimes women do this business not of their own free will, then such actions on the part of the organizers acquire a criminal coloring. The Criminal Code of Russia even has a special article for pimping.
With its help, in recent years it has been possible to bring to justice more than one enterprising businessman. Article 240 of the Criminal Code refers to the involvement of citizens or forcing them into prostitution. Both aspects of this issue look the same before the law. For such actions, liability and punishment are provided in the form of: a fine of 200,000 rubles to the total amount of one and a half year earnings, forced labor, as well as restriction or complete imprisonment for a term of not more than 3 years. The second part of this article examines situations where there is a threat or actual use of violence. In addition, circumstances are aggravated by the group nature of the crime. In this case, a fine cannot be dispensed with. The maximum term of imprisonment in this case is 6 years. The third part of the article concerns minor citizens. Their involvement in this activity can lead to imprisonment for a period of 3 to 8 years. In addition, you can temporarily or completely lose the right to engage in certain activities.
