Grandfather Durov's Theater is one of the most unusual in Russia. It was opened before the revolution, in 1912. Its founder is the famous circus artist V.L. Durov. In the performances of the theater, the main roles are always played by real animals. And they are trained here without a whip, only with the help of affection and "gingerbread".
History
The founder of the most famous circus dynasty in Russia, Vladimir Durov, founded this unique theater in 1912. The trainer himself gained fame thanks to his innovative methods of working with his wards. He trained animals without violence and aggression. And this led to amazing results.
Since its founding, the theater of Grandfather Durov has gained wide popularity not only throughout Russia, but also abroad. The world-famous number “Mouse Railway” was invented and embodied in the walls of this institution. Not only small, but also large animals, as well as all kinds of exotic animals and even birds took part in all the performances of the theater.
