The relevance of the theory of High Communitarianism is due to the need to create an alternative to the extreme forms of liberalism that produced the sad phenomenon of a “consumer society”.
Gained strength in the XX century, the ideal of "consumption without moral restraints" quickly crushed the West and led to a natural demographic, environmental and economic crisis. At the beginning of the third millennium, one can already announce the demise of the world spiritual and ideological core, sacrificed to a money bag. It should be understood that in a state of spiritual crisis, society will not function properly, and this, in the end, will provoke a political and economic collapse.
The essence and problems of introducing the idea of communitarianism
The ideological and political current of communitarianism advocates collectivism and putting public interests at the forefront. The Institute of High Communitarianism proclaims as its goal the establishment of a powerful, prosperous civil society based on local communities guided in their relations by the principles of morality.
The main problem of introducing the communitarian idea to the masses is that although people feel frustration at their alienation from the spiritual Egregor, they feel the urgent need for unification, they are at the same time too disconnected, torn from each other, which makes their quick reunion . The developed public today negatively perceives unity under the wing of religion, a cult of personality or ideology, perceiving all this as degradation. That is why the Institute of High Communitarianism is amorphous in relation to any ideology.
The origins of the formation of the current
Literally all followers of the current are united by the protest beginning: they are unhappy that the higher leadership ignores the problems of education, social protection and health care, preferring personal interests and related industries.
The roots of the flow grow from the idealized norms of American democracy, however, some Russian scholars tend to see in communitarianism the continuation of the ideas of Russian philosophy, which proves the geographical universality of the current.
At the moment, many well-known Western politicians attribute themselves to this movement. Among them are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Partisipative democracy as a way to build a communitarian world
The forerunner of the communitarian principles of a world order is Jean-Jacques Rousseau. It was he who formulated the form of participatory democracy based on communitarianism, namely:
- direct exercise of democracy through assembly;
- uniform ownership of public wealth;
- compliance with moral standards, traditions and laws in the relationships of members of society.
The founder of the established theory of communitarianism is Amitai Etzioni, an American sociologist, researcher of the problems of modern democracy.
Institutionalization of Communitarianism
For a long time, communitarianism was only an aspect of political theorizing of a group of philosophers, political scientists, sociologists, and simply interested public. However, at the very end of the 20th century, he began to unite the interested circle, and the Institute of High Communitarianism was specifically formed. What it is? The Russians can enlighten the work of Cyril Myamlin "High Communitarianism as a Russian Idea." He has incorporated all the main ideas of the movement “Institute of High Communitarianism”. The book received quite positive reviews, and Zhirinovsky, Wasserman, Zyuganov, Evo Morales, Kara-Murza, Dugin, Dzhemal, Nazarbayev and more than 200 well-known politicians, writers, journalists and others were added to the list of successors and analysts of the theoretical base of the current.

In conclusion, it can be noted that a communitarian ideological basis may well become an impetus to socio-political progress throughout the world. This will happen only if the theory and action are implemented in accordance with fundamental principles. Moreover, it is worth remembering that the Institute of High Communitarianism should in no case follow the path of liberalism, communism and fascism, i.e. it should not turn into ideology. Its main goal is the promotion of democracy, teaching the public the principles of self-government. After achieving the main goal, the Institute should be dissolved.
