Renault Midlum is a medium-duty truck that has been produced by Renault since 2000.
The lineup
In the automotive market, you can buy "Renault Midlum" in various versions. For all the production time of this model there were two generations. In addition, there are many body configurations:

First generation
The 1st generation Renault Midlum is similar to its predecessor, Renault Premium. But his cabin is a bit narrower, and the front overhang is smaller. This improves the maneuverability of the car, especially in urban environments.
In total, 24 modifications were released. They had the following characteristics, which differed among themselves:
- Gross weight from 6 to 16 tons.
- 3 types of cab: regular (1.6 m long), night (2.0 m), double cab (2.9 m).

- Body length from 3.4 m to 10.2 m.
In addition, the Midlum models differed in the power units mounted on them:
- 4.0 liters diesel, 4 cylinders, 135 hp or 150 hp
- 6.2 liters., Turbo diesel, 6 cylinders, power 180, 210, 250 hp
They differed in models and gearbox, which had the following options:
- "Mechanics" with 5 gears.
- Mechanical "Eaton" with 6 gears.
- "Mechanics" "Eaton" with 9 gears.

The first generation of cars was produced between 2000 and 2006.
Second generation
Since 2006, production of the 2nd generation of Renault Midlum cars began. They differed from the first generation in a new design, improved engines and chassis, improved transmission.
There are three cab options left. Only their execution has changed. The bedroom, now called the Global, is equipped with various equipment options (Standard, Relax, Night, Monoblock, Utilities). In addition, the cabin has three different configurations.

These power units made it possible to obtain models of cars with greater power (from 180 to 280 hp).
Mounted gearboxes have also changed: six-speed manual, automatic, robotic with 6 ranges. For more powerful trucks, there are: six-speed manual, nine-speed automatic, automatic with and without moderator, robotic gearbox.
The length of the trucks varies depending on the type of chassis:
