"Neovitam" - a great tool that will help calm down. As a rule, doctors often prescribe not only one sedative, but this vitamin B complex in tablets. It is made in Ukraine by the Kiev Vitamin Plant. The drug contains 200 mg of pyridoxine, 100 mg of thiamine and only 0.2 mg of cyanocobalamin.
Thiamine
Thiamine, better known as Vitamin B 1 , is a compound that is highly soluble in water but not soluble in alcohol. It has no color; Easily exposed to elevated temperatures and collapses.
In the human body, thiamine affects the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. About 30 mg of vitamin is stored in the tissues of a living organism. Skeletal muscles have a very significant part of B 1 . It is also found in the brain, heart, kidneys and liver, but in smaller quantities. Neovitam tablets, which contain thiamine, have its properties: they support and improve the processes of growth, development, the work of the heart, central and peripheral, as well as the digestive system. Due to the fact that the substance is water-soluble, it does not accumulate in the body and does not have toxic effects. People who regularly drink alcohol and eat poorly suffer from a deficiency of B 1 . It leads to vitamin deficiency and Korsakov-Wernicke syndrome. Both diseases lead to poor functioning of the nervous system, which, when the proper amount of thiamine is restored in the body, begins to function normally.
Pyridoxine
"Neovitam" is, as already mentioned above, a complex of vitamin B. In addition to B 1 , tablets also contain B 6 (pyridoxine). It is colorless crystals, which, like thiamine, are capable of dissolving in water. The substance is involved in the metabolism. In addition, pyridoxine combines with proteins that are necessary for processing amino acids. It also helps the body produce blood cells and a coloring pigment called hemoglobin, and distribute glucose in the cells. Partially destroyed by heat treatment. Cyanocobalamin
"Neovitam", the instructions for use of which says that it contains vitamin B 12 , in small doses has cyanocobalamin. In fact, this substance is not synonymous with B 12 , it has its vitamin activity, not being himself.
A feature of cyanocobalamin can be called the fact that it is not able to be synthesized in plants and animals. This vitamin is the only one that is formed in microorganisms (bacteria). It is recommended to eat the liver and kidneys of animals in food, where it accumulates the most. The substance is also capable of being produced in the digestive tract of animals and humans. However, due to the fact that this occurs in the colon, there is no possibility for its normal assimilation.

Indications for use
In case of neurological diseases, “Neovitam” is prescribed as a vitamin therapy. Instructions for use indicate that this drug is suitable for those who have the following diseases:
- Neuralgia: trigeminal, intercostal, chronic.
- Neuritis: acute, chronic.
- Radicular syndrome, which was a result of lesions of the spine.
- Polyneuropathy: diabetic, alcoholic, etc.
- Plexitis.
- Lumbago.

Contraindications
The most common contraindication is excessive sensitivity to individual components. Clinical data on the effect of the drug on children under 12 years of age, pregnant and lactating women are not available, therefore, it is not recommended to use it.
For more than 4 weeks in high doses, Neovitam (this fact does not contain instructions for use) is prohibited. During the use of the medicine, it is necessary to refuse to take other vitamin preparations containing vitamin B in order to protect yourself from an overdose.
Psoriasis is one of the diseases, which is a contraindication. Cyanocobalamin is able to worsen the course of the disease.

Dosage, method of use, side effects and interactions with other drugs
"Neovitam" (instructions for use contains a detailed description of the use of the drug) is taken on a tablet 1-2 times a day immediately after eating. They should be washed down with several sips of water. The course and duration of treatment are selected individually, depending on the cause of admission and the degree of the disease.
There are no data on overdoses, however, such similar reactions as nausea, arrhythmia, tachycardia, itching, urticaria, and shock may appear.
Interaction of Neovitam with medicines and means:
- Levodopa. The antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa is reduced, the properties of Neovitam remain the same.
- Ethanol The absorption of thiamine is reduced, the effect of Neovitam is changing.
- Anticonvulsants. Taking such drugs with Neovitam leads to a lack of B1.
- Colchicine and Biguanide. Joint use leads to the absorption of cyanocobalamin.
- Isoniazid, penicillin, COC. Vitamin B6 loses its properties.
It is released without a prescription. Since the drug is made by a Kiev company, Neovitam, the price of which is from 50 to 100 UAH, is sold only in Ukraine. Export of medicine has not yet been established. In a pack of 3 blisters, each with 10 tablets.
The shelf life of the drug is 2 years, provided that it is stored in its original packaging at temperatures up to +25 ° C.
