Violet "Peach radiance." Description and photo

The flowers of the plant have a salmon-pink hue, large in size, resembling curly stars. This variety blooms early. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that when the plant is young, its flowers have a soft pink hue, and with age, the color becomes more saturated and the flowers darken. The fringe on the petals gives the violet a very elegant look. Photo violet "Peach shine" below.

The stem of the violet is shortened with wide oval or round wavy leaves.

Care Rules

In order for the violet not to hurt and always delight the eye, it must be properly looked after. It is also worth knowing when it is best to transplant the violet to avoid its death and poor adhesion of the root system to the ground.

Temperature

In winter, plants often suffer from low temperatures, especially if their location is the windowsill. Care must be taken to ensure that cold air does not get on the flowers during ventilation. If the window sill is stone, in order to avoid hypothermia of the roots, put a wooden stand under the pot.

Air humidity

Under natural conditions, violet grows in places with a high level of humidity, near waterfalls and streams. Therefore, 60-70% is the optimal air humidity for this plant. In centrally heated apartments, rates are often around 40%. Since optimal humidity is difficult to create throughout the room, it will be necessary to increase it only near the plant.

Many indoor flowers like to be sprayed with water, but this method is not suitable for violets. In this case, it will be appropriate to create something like a cloud of drops by spraying water from a spray near the plant, but in no case on it.

Watering

It is easiest to use tap water that has been left in an open container for 2-3 days for irrigation. They are not advised to use magnetized water, since it gives good results only the first time, but in the future it begins to negatively affect the plant.

Many gardeners avoid frequent watering. If you overdo it, the plants will begin to grow slowly, their flowers will become smaller, the leaves will become yellowish. They will be more susceptible to all kinds of diseases than others.

flower watering can

If watering, on the contrary, is excessive, moisture will constantly stagnate in pallets, all capillaries of the soil will be filled with water, and air access to the roots will be stopped, the plant will suffocate and die. Often this occurs due to a flower transplanting into a very large pot or in a container without normal drainage.

If you water the flower from above, water will seep through the earthen lump and wash out some of the harmful salts, and this is useful for any plant. Once a month, in winter, it is useful to water the plant with a mild potassium permanganate solution. To do this, put the pot on a glass jar and carefully pour the solution (0.3-0.5 liters per plant). The liquid drains into the jar through the drainage holes and will allow the earthen coma to free itself from harmful impurities.

If the violet "Peach Radiance" is watered near the roots, the water will be absorbed into the earthen lump, and he, in turn, will accumulate harmful salts. Under such irrigation conditions, the plant will wither away and may die.

Breeding methods

Violet "Peach radiance", like other representatives of this species, propagates in several ways: peduncle or leaves.

drainage pot

Propagation by a peduncle is used in order to preserve and transmit to the offspring a fantasy color.

So, in order to grow violet in this way, it is necessary to break out a healthy and strong peduncle that has the most beautiful flowers, then lay it on a hard surface and cut off the lower part with a sharp blade. In this case, you need to leave one centimeter to the stipules. Buds and flowers also need to be completely removed, leaving only hemp 3-5 mm high.

The resulting tree is what will be used to grow a new flower. Slices must be thoroughly dusted with charcoal, which will have a disinfecting effect.

The success of the event will depend on watering. It should be minimal. With proper manipulation, after a while, small leaves in the sinuses of the stipules will appear - future outlets. The timing of the appearance of small outlets always varies. They can appear a month and a half after planting or much later.

For propagation by cuttings, healthy, well-formed leaves of medium size are used. In young plants, the lowest leaves are cut. In older adults - from the second row from the bottom. Young leaves, which are located closer to the center of the outlet, take root faster, but can bring weakened offspring. And those leaves that are old or are already starting to turn yellow will slowly form roots and will most likely die before they even form young plants.

For cuttings, the water should be clean and soft, it is best to use distilled or melt water. For rooting cuttings in water, it is best to use jars of medicine, mustard. In a crystal dish, not a single variety has roots.

Water does not change during rooting, and only is added as it evaporates. When decaying the end of the petiole, it must be cut off and moved to another vessel with distilled water. You can also try to root it in sphagnum or earth.

The leaves of violets that were previously rooted in water and then planted in a box do not have to be covered with foil. The microclimate with high humidity in the box creates a moist surface of the earth. A box with planted cuttings should be placed near the window or under a fluorescent lamp.

Transplant Rules

You must also know that transplanting violet is best in April-May, as this is the most favorable time. In winter, for example, the flower simply does not have enough sunlight, and in the summer, too bright sun can destroy it.

A transplant is necessary only when the flowering period has passed. The exception is those cases when the flower has been invaded by pests or diseases. In this situation, it is best to transplant as early as possible.

If all the conditions are met, violet will be a wonderful decoration for any windowsill for many years.
