Recently, PC users often discuss the topic "The svchost process loads the system." Because of this, it would seem that a powerful computer turns into a prehistoric device, where one program loads for a very long time. It is time to resolve this issue and get rid of the hated process. Today I’ll talk about some methods to fix such a problem as a computer freeze. But first you need to find out why svchost loads the system.
Identification
To understand exactly which processes interfere with the normal operation of the PC, you must enable the task manager. To do this, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Delete. A program will open before you, in which you need to select the “Processes” tab through the top control panel. The “CPU” column will indicate the amount of memory consumed. If you observe how the svchost process loads 100% of the entire system, then the reason is certain. Typically, under such circumstances, this behavior indicates the action of the virus. It disguises itself as a system process and interferes with the normal operation of the computer. As you probably already noticed, the word “svchost” is found more than once in the list of running programs. Their number depends on the operating system and system characteristics of the PC.

Most often, most users, observing this process, simply terminate it as soon as they see that it is loading the system. But as a result, the computer throws an error and restarts. After the PC turns on again, everything falls into place, and we again observe the same picture: svchost loads the system. This process is necessary to speed up the computer, and is always started on behalf of system services. The following entries should be present in the “User” column: system, network service, local service. If other sources are indicated there, then in 99% of cases this is a viral process.

If svchost loads the system, measures must be taken. We start with simple and banal actions. As practice shows, to get rid of this process, just restart your computer. If, after switching on, the system still hangs, it is recommended to disable this virus application. To do this, open the task manager, move the cursor to svchost (which loads the system and is not running from the system service), right-click on it and select "End the process tree". Confirm your choice by clicking the "OK" button. Then restart the system again. If this method also did not help, then it remains to resort to extreme measures, that is, delete all virus files. How it's done:
- Open "My Computer" - the local C drive (or another letter).
- Go to the Windows system folder. For this operation, you will need administrator rights.
- Find the folder called "Prefetch" and delete it.
- Then restart your computer again.
additional information
What does this virus do? It sends data from your computer or downloads malicious files from a specific server. Disguising as a systemic process helps this pest go unnoticed by inexperienced users. But now you already know how to recognize this virus. And you will no longer ask the question: “Why does svchost load the system?”
