Despite the ubiquity of flash drives and cloud technology, familiar optical disks are still too early to bury. Yes, their prevalence has decreased significantly, but even now, on the Internet, you can find many programs and films that are “packaged” into images of standard optical media.
So how do you
burn an ISO image to disk? There is nothing complicated about it, and you don’t even have to use paid programs, because today it is full of free and fully functional analogues.
First, consider the Small CD-Writer application. This program is very "ancient", but for beginners it suits just perfectly. Unfortunately, the author no longer releases new versions.
It does not require installation, supports almost all the functions specific to its expensive and professional competitors. How to burn an ISO image to disk using it?
To do this, run the application, and insert a clean blank into the drive. You can use rewritable discs: good, the program allows you to erase them. We are looking for the menu item “Disk”, click on the line “Burn ISO image”. Point out to the application where the file you want is located.
After that, you need to click on the “Burn” button, set the burning speed you need, and then click on “Burn” again.
Actually, after that you only need to wait until the drive “spits out” the recorded disc.
Our next “experimental” will be a small application CDBurnerXP. The program is also completely free. Unlike the previous one, it is supported by its developers, can write to Blue-Ray discs, and has a Russian-language interface.
But how to burn an ISO image to disk using it? Nothing is easier!
As in the previous case, insert a blank disk (or rewritable) into the drive, run the program. In its main window you need to select the option “burn disk image”, in the dialog box that opens, indicate on which disk the image you want is located by clicking on the button with the ellipsis sign.
Select the required recording method, speed, check the box “finalize disc” (preferably), and then click on the “Record” button.
But how to burn an ISO image to disk using another program? And again there is no problem! There is a great Ashampoo Burning Studio FREE app. As the name implies, it is completely free. There is a paid version, but for our purposes this one is quite enough.
In exactly the same way as in previous cases, we insert a clean blank into the drive, launch Shampoo. In the main window, select the option “Create / burn disk image”, in the drop-down list, go to the item “Burn”.

dialog box opens in which you need to point to your file by clicking on the "Browse" button, and then click on the "Next" button. As usual, you should choose the speed, the necessary drive and set other settings to the desired position. After that, you can burn the ISO image to disk by clicking on the appropriate button.
Regardless of the program used, we advise you not to overdo it with speed. The higher it is, the more likely the occurrence of errors both during the recording itself and during subsequent reading. This is especially true when it comes to household players and radio tape recorders.
As you can see, writing an ISO image to disk is not difficult, even for a beginner.
