In the TV series "Fighters", actors talk about how young people, abandoning their usual lives, fought in the skies during World War II. In the camp, where the Soviet fighter regiment was based, its own life took place with intrigues, novels, meetings and partings. Who made this serial film and what are the names of the artists who performed the main roles?
The creators of the series and a short plot
The series was broadcast on the Russia-1 TV channel in April 2013. Aleksey Muradov, who directed mostly documentaries for a long time, headed the project. He even managed to get the TEFI award for one of his works. Among the television series on which the director worked, there are Night Sisters, Tula-Tokarev and Zhukov.

In the multi-part film “Fighters”, actors transfer us during the Great Patriotic War. In one of the sections near the front there is a regiment of fighters that bombes the enemy’s forces and carries out reconnaissance. Every day, someone does not return from battle. The base of the strike force is the female squadron, soon reinforcements arrive in the person of young pilots - very young guys. Between several main characters a love relationship is struck. But on the way there is an eccentric political instructor, then war, then death itself.

Perhaps, from the entire pantheon of colorful characters, the heroine of Ekaterina Vilkova caused special sympathy. Lydia Litovchenko went to war as a girl, but in a couple of years she rose to the comasque and turned into a tough and decisive woman. Airplanes are Litovchenko’s only true passion. She does not know what a man’s attention is, how to dress and comb, and is more pleased with the next order than with the spirits of “Red Moscow”.
Once Lydia is shot down in the sky, and she receives a severe head injury. The girl is forbidden to fly, but, having returned to her hometown, she realizes that she can only fight and will not be able to live as before. Then Lydia forges documents and returns to the front, where she soon loses consciousness during a sortie and breaks up. Before the death, the girl begins a relationship with one pilot, but he also soon passes away.
Actors of the series "Fighters" did a good job: their characters touch to the depths of their hearts. However, no one expected such a “dissolution” in the image from Vilkova.
