What is this tackle?
The plug by its nature resembles a classic float equipment, the difference is only in the length of the rod and the main fishing line.
As for the rod itself, its official length is 11 meters. In practice, in stores you can find gear from 9 to 14.5 meters. Plug rods consist of butt and whale. A whale is removable tops from two to three meters long.

After all, sometimes you have to throw tackle under the reeds or bushes, and this is fraught with a cliff for any float fishing rod. Accuracy is also necessary if we feed fish in a specific place.
- Sufficient casting range. Plug rods are not inferior in flywheel casting range. So, you can throw equipment at a distance of 15 meters, which is quite enough for hunting trophy specimens.
- Ease of use. There is nothing superfluous in the plug. Confusing such a tackle is unrealistic, because there is no reel with a supply of fishing line, through rings and other things.
- Quick setup of gear for the fishing spot. The plug can be extended or shortened very quickly with the help of butt parts. This makes it possible to regulate the fishing process. In addition, if you need to replace the tackle, it is enough to remove one whale and put another with one or another equipment.
- Noiseless casting of bait. Tackle is not thrown in such a way as an ordinary floater. Clinging the whale to the butt, we drag the bait through the water to the place of fishing, thereby not making unnecessary bursts.
We can safely say that the plug rod, the price of which is slightly higher than the price of any other float tackle (ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 rubles), is gradually gaining the attention and respect of the fishermen of our country. Now the plug can be found not only in the athlete-fisherman, but also in the amateur.
