Hallmark's The 10th Kingdom is a popular fantasy series about the incredible adventures of a girl from New York and her father in magical kingdoms. Plot: in the modern world
The protagonist of this magical story is the usual modern girl Virginia Lewis from New York. She lives with her father Anthony in a small apartment near Central Park on the outskirts of Manhattan. The Queen manages to swap the bodies of the main heir and the ordinary street dog. But this stepmother is not enough, she sends terrible trolls to kill the prince turned into an animal. Wendell is lucky; he manages to escape from them to another world, where a modest waitress lives. But the trolls continue to haunt him through the streets of Virginia's hometown. Fleeing from the chase, the prince in furry skin accidentally falls under the wheel of a cute Virginia's bicycle. A kind girl decides to treat a poor dog and takes her to her.
The terrible trolls did not do their job, and the disgruntled Queen sends for him her old assistant - the Wolf. But, finding himself in a real city, the Wolf suddenly falls in love with the main character.

- Virginia Lewis is the main character. Her parents are Anthony and Christine Lewis. After seven years he lives with his father. Mother, dissatisfied with life, escaped from the family. The girl grew up very kind, always ready to help others. The role of Virginia is played by Kimberly Williams.
- Anthony Lewis The unlucky dad of the main character and the ruined businessman. The role is played by John Larrockett.

Filming
A budget of forty-five million was allocated to translate the script of Simon Moore on screen. The shooting of this series was carried out in New York and London, in the vicinity of the most beautiful castles in France and in the Alpine mountains.
To create this magical fairy tale, they created six hundred exciting effects, used four thousand kilometers of film and sewed the same number of outfits, involved 130 actors and 3,550 extras. Many were impressed by the scope of the series "Tenth Kingdom". Actors (photos of each of them were printed in many famous magazines) became recognizable after these prominent roles.
However, neither the large financial component, nor the grand embodiment of the script, nor the worthy play of the actors helped to gain high ratings at the premieres held in Great Britain and the USA in 1999 and 2000, respectively. For this reason, the series did not receive a continuation.
