Proper planting of trees and shrubs

When designing a garden on a summer cottage, it is necessary to take into account all the features that planting trees and shrubs has. Each plant requires certain conditions for growth and development. Only in this case can you count on a good harvest or on the fact that trees and shrubs will delight you with their beauty. The issue of landing should be approached very responsibly. These plants will become the inhabitants of your garden for many years.

Each tree requires space for growth, certain illumination and quality soil. Particular attention is paid to the root system, especially when planting. All conditions must be created for its full development. Therefore, all landing technology must be observed.

The consequences of improper technology can occur both in the first weeks and within a few years, when a tree or shrub does not fully develop.

If the root system of planting material is closed in a special plastic container, then planting can be done from early spring until the first frost. In the case when it is open, the planting of trees and shrubs is carried out in the fall, when the leaves begin to fall. However, one should not overtighten and wait for the first frosts.

Planting large trees is more favorable in winter. But there are times when large plants planted in the summer take root well.

Planting trees and shrubs begins with the preparation of the pit. In terms of volume, this is the most labor-intensive process. The size of the pit depends on the planting material. For shrubs, it is made 40x40x40 centimeters. Fruit trees need a larger size - 60x60x60. For large plants, a pit is made, having dimensions of 120x120x120 centimeters.

Land that turned out to be superfluous can be used in other areas of the site for backfilling.

The prepared pit is filled with black soil mixed with a complex of fertilizers, sand and garden lime. These components allow you to better take root in the root system of the plant. The composition of the filler may vary depending on the planting material.

Pre-soak the root system. Roots that have been damaged are removed using a pruner. We install the prepared plant in the landing pit, but not too deep. Only the underground part of the roots and a little root of the neck should be in the ground. Then the shoots will develop fully. Next, sprinkle the plant with the necessary amount of soil, tamping it a little. Then carefully drive in a peg so as not to damage the root system, and we attach a seedling to it.

We cover the lower part of the trunk with bark or special material for mulching. So you can protect the plant from overheating of the root system and abundant evaporation of moisture.

In each climate region, certain trees and shrubs grow. Therefore, when choosing planting material, it is necessary to take into account the climate. Otherwise, the plant may not take root or not fully develop. You also need to know how certain plants are adjacent to each other. It happens that one species inhibits the growth and development of another.

The arrangement of the site can be carried out so that green spaces will replace the fence, fence or other elements used in these cases. Shrubs can become a hedge, delight with their flowering and even fruits.

Planting trees and shrubs is not a hassle at all. The main thing is to comply with the technology and choose the right material for this. It is necessary to use plants with a good root system.

The result of the work will be a beautiful garden with a variety of trees and shrubs that will delight you with their beauty for more than one year.
