Long gone are the days when IE6 was considered the only possible browser. Of course, there are “retrograde cities” to this day, but actually today there are a lot of Internet browsers, among whom everyone can choose the program to their taste.
But what is the
best browser? To answer this question, you need to at least approximately represent the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.
To begin with, we’ll look at what the leaders of the browser market exist today, since choosing the best representative from the category of “outsiders” is simply stupid.
For starters - IE11. No matter how some users frown, in the latest version Microsoft has done a lot to make users happy with their browser. It should be noted that they quite succeeded. The program turned out pretty nice, functional and fast. Page rendering speed is no worse than that of competitors. The disadvantage is that Microsoft cannot make a normal pop-up blocker, ads, or dangerous scripts. Of course, the SmartScreen filter is good, but what is the best browser you can do without such useful “lotions”?
Therefore, we will consider another contender - Google Chrome. Today it is considered the most common. It is characterized by high speed, the absence of problems with updates (as they arrive automatically), as well as the presence of built-in services from Google.
Since relatively recently, Chrome supports extensions, which makes its use even more convenient. But there are some disadvantages in it. For example, a completely slurred design, the lack of normal bookmarks and pretty “scanty” settings.
So what is the best browser that can please us with everything you need? Until recently, the Norwegian Opera could have been the leader in many respects, but more recently, its developers have suffered.
They switched to the Blink engine, used in "chrome-like" browsers, burying Presto, which was developed by us personally. In the new version of Opera, there are even fewer settings than in Chrome, so at the moment it does not pretend to be the "best observer" because of its "dampness."
So what is the best browser? Many believe that they are Mozilla Firefox. What are the reasons? We’ll list the main ones: a huge number of extensions for every taste and color, complete openness of the code, the opportunity to personally participate in the development of the browser and its understanding of virtually any format found on the Internet.
But still, which browser is the best? 2013 showed that the number of browser games, services and applications is increasing every month. Many of them are cross-browser (supported by all browsers).
The conclusion is simple: you can use any program of this kind that you like and performs all those functions that the user really needs. But! Use only the latest version of the application, without remaining on ancient modifications that are potentially unsafe.
Thus, the question of which Internet browser is the best is not entirely correct. This is how to argue about the advantages and disadvantages of toothpastes: everyone uses what he likes best.
