Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater

The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater (Ufa) was opened in 1938. Its founders are F. Gaskarov and G. Almukhametov. They created a troupe of students who were sent to study at the Moscow Conservatory and at the Leningrad Choreographic School. In 1955, the artists clearly showed themselves as masters of their craft. For this, about 70 of them were awarded titles and awards. Here the legendary dancer Rudolf Nuriev began his career. The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater holds festivals. One of them is called "Chaliapin evenings in Ufa." It is organized for opera artists. As well as the festival of ballet art named after R. Nuriev. Artists from all over the world come to take part in them. The Ufa Theater has won a large number of awards for its creative life. More than once became the laureate of the Golden Mask. Museums

repertoire of theaters of ufa

The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater invites its viewers to visit their two museums. One is dedicated to the life and work of dancer Rudolf Nuriev. It is located on the 2nd floor of the theater. The museum opened in 2008 in honor of the anniversary of the famous Ufa man. Here are 156 exhibits that were donated to the theater by the R. Nuriev Foundation.

The second museum is dedicated to the history of the theater. It was created in 1993. It is located on the 1st floor of the theater. Here, among the exhibits, sketches and layouts of scenery, costumes from various productions, props, awards, photographs and posters, as well as personal belongings of famous actors are presented. There is also a stand dedicated to the work of Fedor Chaliapin. It was in the Ufa Theater that his debut took place.
