Epics are legendary songs about the folk heroes of Ancient Russia, as a rule, heroes fighting evil over Russian land. They reflected the reality of 11-16 centuries. Bylina is a peculiar genre of oral folk art, in which historical events seem to be reflected, but with figurative exaggerations. Heroes in them have superpower or other abilities (ability to play, sing); and the enemies are fantastic at all: the Serpent Gorynych, the Nightingale the Robber, the Tsar the lord of the sea. Since epic is a song genre, it has a rhythm, a special syllable. Reading it as if you get into the historical past and see a film, because it is rich in figurative expressions.

What is the tale about?
Beautiful, unusual and different from other tales of the epic "Sadko". A brief summary of it may not make a proper impression. There are no heroes heroes. There are no battles with obvious enemies in it. But it has an idea about how important it is to have talent, the patronage of the Higher powers for personal qualities. Also in the epic, we are talking about the fight against human vices, in particular, boasting. Retelling
Sadko, a hussar, lived in ancient Novgorod . He was young, handsome and talented, only “a goal like a falcon”. Gusli - all his property was. But Sadko loved to sing and play so much that even when no one wanted to listen to him, he came to the shore of Lake Ilmen and surrendered to his beloved business alone. In any case, it seemed to him so. After all, everything was quiet. All nature listened to wonderful singing.
Once the
King of the Sea heard him and rose from the depths to reward a guslar for his wonderful game. He ordered Sadko to mortgage with the merchants, laying his head on the idea that the wonderful feather gold fish lives in Lake Ilmen. And in return he ordered them to be asked to pawn their goods and trade shops (business in our opinion). The three richest merchants agreed to a deal - Sadko wanted to ruin out of envy. But the singer won the argument. The sea king kept his word and caught Sadko a goldfish in the net. On the advice of the Lord, he did not argue anymore and soon became rich thanks to his goodness. But several years passed, he married and became a merchant, richer who was not in the city. He arranged a feast he was a noble, as it should be then. Many spoke on it: the stupid boasted of a young wife, the smart honored their parents. Sadko could not resist, he began to boast of his wealth and to bet that he could buy all of Novgorod. But when he began to buy up all the goods, gold and silver quickly began to end. He made a decision Sadko to sail to other cities in order to sell his good. During the trip, a strong storm arose on the lake. And I would sink the ships, but Sadko realized in time: The king is demanding a sea tribute.
He ordered to pour a barrel of silver into the water, then gold, but the waves did not stop. Sadko understood: the tsar needs a human sacrifice. The

They let him into the water on the board, where he fell asleep, and woke up at the bottom of the sea in front of the Chambers of Vladyka, who was glad to see the guest. Then the king invited the singer to choose a wife - one of the daughters, which meant forever staying in the underwater kingdom. The hero (also not without the help of the Holy) chooses a living girl, thereby freeing the captive and himself.
