History

The theater’s birth date is February 10, 1937, when the first children's puppet show “Pushkin's Tales” took place on the stage of the Tula Youth Theater. The initiator of his production was the artist Chekov NP and Atris Lisovskaya N.A. The performance was so successful that a small team was organized, which began to focus on puppet plays.

The troupe did not initially have its own premises. Actors performed on the stages of various institutions. But in 1964, the city authorities gave the theater an old building in which it is located today.

The next creative rise of the theater began in 1997 with the advent of a new professional, energetic and proactive director - N. Ryazantseva
