The main thing is that the path to excellence can be carried out by various methods. Either due to study, work, or - neglect of the interests of others, intrigue, lies and betrayal. Therefore, “ambition” is just a modality that does not have a clear ethical connotation. It can be both positive, showing purposefulness, and negative, characterizing the power hunger of a particular person.
Thus, the concept of “pure ambition” does not exist; concrete actions and deeds attach importance to it. They are due to the social environment and, if you will, moral pressure on her part. In other words, ambition is a socially active category that forms an individual consciousness. It would seem that the example is completely “from another opera”: everyone watched the series “Star Wars” and remember the story of young Skywalker. The boy, and then the young man had pure intentions and sincere faith in his innocence, and most importantly - the desire to become better. So if it were not for the loss of the mother, the death of his wife, then who knows how everything could turn out?
Everything is very simple: only a person has access to such an action as creating values. Words in themselves may not make any sense, but the choice of context also means the choice of the appropriate sign - we proceed from our own interests and sometimes completely selfishly place the "pros" and "cons". And we don’t think that the way in which we arrange them depends on how we will live our life in the future.
However, if we recognize socially active feeling as ambition, then we need to talk about personal mobility and the ability to turn mountains on its way. But both of these examples are similar. Heroes sacrificed their former status, their freedom and ambitions. And in both cases, ambition played. The meaning of the word here is sacrifice. You must be able to sacrifice one to get another. And thereby win in comparison with their opponents.
