The Tver Theater of the Young Spectator opened in 1932. Three years later, the theater was presented with its own house. From that moment his story began. The leadership and composition of the troupe have changed many times during this time, but until now the theater has retained its individuality, it is recognizable thanks to its performances. The viewer, who has visited the play at least once, feels the special atmosphere of the flight of creative thought, freedom, courage.
Theater today
Today, the troupe has 31 artists, seven of them have the title of Honored, two actresses are honorary workers. Many are in demand in the cinema: they can be seen in series and films. There are also young people in the Tver Theater of young spectators who, thanks to their continuity, absorb the traditions of the older generation.
Repertoire
The repertoire of the Tver Theater of Young Spectators is based on children's and teenage literature. Children and youths love to watch the performances "The Little Mermaid", "Peter Pan", "About Emelya", "Elena the Wise". There is a place for adult productions with classic plots based on the works of Gogol and Bulgakov. The repertoire of the Tver Theater (TYUZ) is especially significant due to the performance "... Forget Herostratus!" He is distinguished by vivid directing, acting, entertainment and originality.
Premieres
Director Ansar Khalilullin staged the play "Undergrowth" based on the comedy of Fonvizin. He opened the theater season of 2009-2010. This complex play of the classics did not sound old-fashioned, but rather, modern: in it sadness and laughter are combined with instructiveness and thoughtfulness.
At the beginning of 2010, A.M. Kove became the main director of the theater. His last production in 2009, after which he immediately got the position, was the performance-parable "About Mice and People" by J. Steinbeck.
Two premieres marked the theater season of 2010-2011. In March, the performance “The Man and the Gentleman” based on the comedy by Eduardo de Filippo, as well as (on the occasion of the Great Patriotic War) the performance “Sanya, Vanya, with them Rimas” based on the play by the famous playwright Vladimir Gurkin, were presented to the audience.

Blue arrow
Youth Theater of Tver on January 2, 2019 presented to the public the play for children “The Journey of the Blue Arrow” based on the tale of Gianni Rodari. The project was created under the direction of director Andrei Gorbaty. He is working with the actors of the Tver Theater of Young Spectators for the first time. Closely observing the course of rehearsals, he sometimes can not restrain strong emotions and he goes on the stage. After all, as he himself says, he feels happiness when he becomes one of the heroes of a fairy tale he has loved since childhood. Rodari is a wonderful author, so he works wonderfully with his work. This is good literature that allows you to talk with children about serious topics without fear. Therefore, I like the material.

The artist Vladimir Yakunin worked on the scenery - he is also from St. Petersburg. For the toy team, costumes were sewn by local craftswomen. They took a lot of gabardine, velveteen and taffeta. The performance has interesting and amazing music written in rock style especially for him. She gets right into the heart of the viewer, leaving no one indifferent.
Topics of the Blue Arrow
The adventure play is suitable for spectators of any age. Justice, dedication and true friendship are the main topics of this fun and touching story. A living, without a hint of edification and morality language teaches children tolerance and understanding the importance of forgiveness.
After a successful premiere, this performance was included in the repertoire of the theater for young spectators.
"Christmas tree as an adult"
In the Youth Theater of Tver, the repertoire replenished a new performance intended for an adult audience. This unique New Year performance was not advertised this year, but tickets could not be taken even a month before the start of the performance. Viewers of last year’s show advertised it so that tickets were bought in rows. A small champagne buffet was organized in the lobby, which was treated to all visitors to cheer up.
The performance lasts four hours. It is hard to say which genre it belongs to. You can see the features of a skit, parody, talk show in it - all together they are very organic and create a festive mood. “Herringbone as an adult” is not an ordinary idea: it is not based on a script in its traditional sense, but on improvisation. Therefore, it is difficult for viewers to understand whether the action is going according to a previously thought-out plan or if the situation has gotten out of control. But this keeps the audience in suspense.
What is a performance improvisation
The first act is similar to the program "Searchlight Paris Hilton". Three actors in the image of famous women from classical productions ride a train and discuss the events of the past year, make plans for the future, share news. The conductor serves them: treats with tea with aroma of cognac. The company is joking all the time. The plot revolves around rumors and recognizable persons of Tver - this is the meaning of the program. Everything is familiar here and all of its own, so there is an incredible return from the audience. The characters on stage greet guests who are also involved in the process of improvisation. For example, Mikhail Borisov from Russian Lotto is giving away prizes and giving them in person.
The program devotes a lot of time to communicating with the audience who lead a round dance, express their opinion about what they saw, portray heroes from classical works, receive gifts.
In the second part, a brass band in red caps performs stylized compositions in different genres. The singer starts with jazz, then goes to Russian rock - this is how the skit begins.
The action ended with the song of the actor of the Tver Theater of the Young Spectator "I Stay", which was picked up by the dancing co-hosts. It seems that in this composition is the meaning of the whole show.
“Fir-tree as an adult” convinces the audience that you can live in Tver, in addition, create something extraordinary, communicate with interesting people. It's easy to be stylish, fun and modern. To do this, you need very little: to have creative audacity and the ability to unite.

Spectators of the Youth Theater in Tver like not only the repertoire and new productions, but also its convenient location, and the absence of parking problems. It is comfortable, but it does not create a feeling of crowding. There are enough visitors, but the lines to the common areas pass unnoticed.
The hall is small, comfortable lift, the seats are soft. Programs offer directly in the hall for a small price of 30 rubles.
Many are pleased with the traditional interior design. The buffet, for example, is made in an unusual fairytale style and creates a pleasant atmosphere. The toilet is clean, plumbing is working properly. Made a quality repair.
In the Youth Theater of Tver, the repertoire is designed for different age categories: there are performances for children, adolescents and young people, which cannot but rejoice. It's nice that the actors do not use microphones: after all, “live” sound is perceived much better. The audience expresses gratitude to the actors of the theater, as well as to the management, as it became possible to buy electronic tickets. Pleasantly surprised and their prices.
