Funny and funny, funny and extraordinary, bright and memorable - all these are words that only to a small extent characterize the KVN team with 12 years of experience - “Ural dumplings”. Its main advantage is charismatic participants, who, judging by the millions of armies of fans, know a lot about humor.
How did it all start?
For 7 years, the scene of the Cheerful and Resourceful Club has not seen the orange shirts of the Ural Dumplings, but lovers of this iconic comedy show still remember one of the best and most famous teams today.
Debuting in the Premier League back in 1995, five years later the team from Yekaterinburg became its finalist and champion, confidently securing the title of the last champions of the twentieth century.
But it all started a little earlier, in 1993, when, under the leadership of Dmitry Sokolov, several students of the Ural Polytechnic University decided to unite in one humorous team. The first inter-institutional game turned out to be triumphant for them, and already in 1995 the Dumplings were awarded the title of champions of Yekaterinburg. After that, everything went like clockwork: the Major League, three Summer Cups of KVN, the same number of “Big KiViNs” and the final anniversary festival of KVN for the team.
First steps after KVN
Having received everything that is possible from a professional game in KVN, the “Ural dumplings”, the composition of which was already finally formed by that time, set off for solo swimming. Since 2007, the guys have been working on creating their own television show. On September 23, the show "News" appeared on the screens, which earned unimaginable ratings. But over time, her popularity faded. Rumor has it that the reason for this was too "mild" humor, which was offered by "Pelmeni". The jokes were supposed to be tougher and compromising, as is customary on TNT (this is where the show was broadcast). Therefore, after the show of 23 issues, the program was closed.
Fifth year of success
But that was just the beginning, and by the end of 2009, the first issue of the Ural Pelmeni Show appeared on the STS channel, the composition of which predicted a great future for him. And so it happened. The extraordinary popularity of this project allowed the cavemen to show 40 humorous concerts, each of which has its own name and theme. Work on the show continues today: since the beginning of 2014, 3 performances have already been released; the next, entitled “Leaders and Skills”, is scheduled for May 8th.
Talents have no limits
The scope of the legendary, although former, KVN team is not limited to this. In addition to joint participation in the Ural Pelmeni Show, the team regularly appears on blue screens as part of various television projects:
- the sitcom “Outside the native square meters”, where the main roles are played by several “dumplings”;
- the parody show "The Big Difference";
- entertainment program "Searchlight Perishilton";
- comedy series "Our Russia";
- the comedy show "Valera TV" about a new provincial news correspondent operator.
What are these Ural dumplings popular! The composition of the team, among other things, is actively involved in authorship, directing and advertising. Some, "not lifting their nose", continue to organize concerts and festivals.
The 13-person team has prominent leaders. Next, we will talk about each of them separately.
The face of the dumplings
“Ural Dumplings”, the composition of which has changed more than once in the 21-year history of their existence, still has its own “honorable veterans”. First of all, this is Dima Sokolov, who is considered the founder of the team. It was he who organized around him five guys, then still students of different faculties of the Ural Polytechnic Institute. The fact is that the young chemist and technologist used to take part in KVN, however, as part of the rock band "Neighbors", and, inspired by such experience, decided to create his own team.
Until now, Dmitry is considered the face of the team, its highlight. Of course! Take a look only at this tall, strong brunette with raised eyebrows and expressive eyes. The mere appearance of him on the stage makes the viewer at least stretch out in a smile, to say nothing of his speech - sincere and funny words spoken from his lips turn into some kind of burst of laughter in the hall. As Dmitry himself admits, this talent and charm were given to him by nature from birth.
The main grandmother of "Dumplings"
Andrei Rozhkov is a no less colorful comedian, originally part of the Ural Dumplings. A photo of his extremely expressive face will not allow to doubt it! As a student, he was a supporter of a fun and carefree life, which, most likely, prevented him from getting a diploma in welding at the same Polytechnic Institute, although he tried to do it three times. Of course, because he was completely absorbed in communicating with other participants in humorous competitions and campaign teams. And when Dima Sokolov invited him to become the captain of the newly made team, there was no question of any kind of study.
In those years, it was said that Razhik (as his friends call him) even lived in a car, because he did not want to rent an apartment in Moscow, it was too expensive. Probably, this conviction still haunts him, because under no pretext does he want to move to the capital, as all the comrades in the scene did. A cozy apartment in Yekaterinburg and a small building plot completely suit his family. By the way, friends consider Andrei an exemplary family man, who is trying to spend all his free time with his wife and two sons. Oddly enough, Rozhkov loves outdoor activities; Extreme kitesurfing and judo are his hobbies.
Just handsome
Dmitry Brekotkin - also a constant participant in the show "Ural dumplings"; the composition of the homonymous KVN team is generally impossible to imagine without it. He also did not work out a certified specialist in non-ferrous metal processing, the fault was due to absenteeism and poor performance due to teamwork. FROM
Dima met Sokolov in the construction team "Edelweiss", then it was he who was taken "to business." Brekotkin, who was expelled from the institute, went to the construction site as a plasterer, but in the end he became a foreman and a respected master in circles. But over time, it was necessary to make a choice between the career of a kaveenshchik and a builder, since teamwork required a lot of time and effort. Looking at Dmitry Brekotkin today, you can understand his choice!
After the triumph in the Premier League, KVN Dima became even more popular. In addition to participating in the Pelmeney show programs, he often appeared in all kinds of television projects, the most successful of which was South Butovo. Here he proved himself to be an unusually capable improviser. Moreover, Brekotkin even went to the actors, having received roles in the films “Very Russian Detective” and “Cat's Logic”.
Who is “in business” now?
The composition of the “Ural dumplings” in 2014 is 13 not so young, but from that even more attractive comedians, who, in addition to acting, are also excellent masters of humor. It is worth noting that the texts of jokes that we all laugh at on TV screens are mainly invented by the “dumplings” themselves.
The current Ural team consists of:
- the aforementioned Dima Sokolov, Andrei Rozhkov and Dmitry Brekotkin;
- lead author Sergey Ershov, who supports the guys from the very beginning of the team;
- charming Julia Mikhalkova-Matyukhina;
- author and actor, also involved in the production of "dumplings", Sergey Netievsky;
- Sergey Isaev, Slava Myasnikov, Maxim Yaritsa and Sasha Popov, who are co-authors and actors;
- responsible for sound and music Sergey Kalugin;
- Ilana Yuryeva and Stefaniya-Maryana Gurskaya are new members in the team, participating in the show since 2012.
In the entire history of the existence of the team, only 5 participants left it. The most famous among them was Sergey Svetlakov.
