Aeroflot is one of the oldest airlines in the world. Her story begins back in 1923. Today, this state-owned enterprise has an impressive list of subsidiary airlines under its authority. Most of them provide domestic flights. However, there are many carriers at the disposal of the national corporation that fly abroad. Let’s look at what information is known about Aeroflot’s subsidiaries, the list of which is given below.
"Russia"
We begin our review of Aeroflot subsidiaries with airlines called Russia. This company is based at the airport of St. Petersburg - "Pulkovo". It is at this point that the bulk of the company's fleet is concentrated. Another, less large-scale dock for the carrier is Vnukovo Airport, which is located in Moscow. It is noteworthy that all flights of Rossiya Airlines are operated on behalf of the state-owned enterprise Aeroflot.
According to the results of last year, the carrier transported over 4.5 million passengers. Today, Russia’s airline ranks sixth in the country for this indicator among not only low-cost, but also the largest domestic airlines.
As for the geography of flights of the airline’s liners, its fleet carries out regular flights to 25 cities of Russia and provides communication with dozens of foreign points.

Pobeda is a subsidiary of Aeroflot, which has the status of a low-cost airline. The company was founded in 2014 instead of the organization Dobrolet, which ceased its work, which crashed due to European Union sanctions in punishment for organizing flights from Simferopol abroad.
The Victory company has at its disposal one of the "youngest" fleets in the country. As of the beginning of 2016, the average age of the company's liners was only 1.8 years.
When reviewing Aeroflot subsidiaries, it is worth noting that Victory Airlines today has the safest status in the country. There were no emergencies with the organization’s liners that would damage the equipment, cause harm to passengers or crew. The only unpleasant incident in the history of the Pobeda company is when the aircraft left the runway, which occurred after landing on the Moscow-Cheboksary flight on November 11, 2016. As a result of the accident, the liner personnel had to resort only to the rapid evacuation of passengers.
"Aurora"
Considering the subsidiaries of Aeroflot, the organization Aurora should be noted. The fleet of the latter is based simultaneously in several cities, namely: Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Vladivostok. The company was established in 2013 as a result of the merger of airlines under the name Vladivostok Air and Sakhalin Airways.
Aurora is mainly involved in the organization of domestic flights. One of the main activities of the company is to ensure communication between the largest cities of Siberia and the Far Eastern region of Russia. As for flights abroad, Aurora Airlines planes carry out passenger and cargo flights to Japan, China and Korea.
Aeromar
When reviewing Aeroflot subsidiaries, one cannot ignore the closed joint-stock company Aeromar. Unlike previous enterprises, which are subordinate to the domestic aviation corporation, the presented organization does not deal with flights. The scope of the Aeromar company includes:
- providing passengers with liners that are part of the Aeroflot group;
- aircraft maintenance, equipment and cleaning;
- organization of trade on board aircraft and at airports;
- consulting services.
Today, Aeromar is one of the main subsidiaries of Aeroflot, which brings real profit to the national corporation, provides jobs for thousands of people.
