What is a screen or screenshot?
A screen or screenshot is a screenshot of the monitor. The word came from an English screenshot, which means an image received by a computer and reflecting what exactly happens on the screen. In order to get a high-quality image, there are several methods. We will focus only on the simplest and most understandable ways to take a screenshot of your computer desktop.
Print screen
The easiest and most convenient method is to use the Print Screen button on your computer keyboard. “Print Screen” is translated - screen printing. On the right side of the keyboard you will find a button called “Prt Scr”. But remember that the button will photograph exactly what you see on the screen. For example, if you want to get the full image of a site, it is better to use another program. After pressing the button, you will not see the flash and do not hear a click. The picture is simply transferred to the clipboard, where it will wait for your further actions. To photograph only the active window, you can use the Prt Scr and Alt keys. The picture is ready. It remains only to extract it from the clipboard.
We open the graphic editor. Even the Paint program, which is located in the Start menu in the Standard folder, will do. Open the program and press "Paste" or just a combination of Ctrl and V. The image from the clipboard will open in a graphical editor. If you need a full picture of the monitor, it is better to specify the screen extension in the image size so that part of the picture does not appear outside the canvas.

There is another very simple method for taking a screenshot of your desktop. We go to the "Start" menu and in the "Standard" folder we find the "Scissors" icon. This is an excellent program, which, unfortunately, is standard only in the Windows 7 operating system. Open the “Scissors”. We are invited to select on the desktop the zone that you want to photograph. Select the necessary area. A snapshot immediately opens in the program itself. It remains only to save the image and send to friends or embed in a scientific or term paper. Everything is very simple!
