Account holders on the popular social network Facebook very often want to share some kind of music track with their friends. However, as practice shows, this is not so easy, especially if the composition is saved on your own computer or mobile device. How to add music to Facebook will be discussed later. There are several ways to do this.
Can I add music to Facebook?
In principle, if you consider music not only audio formats, but also video, there should not be any special difficulties. But with the tracks, say, in MP3, this is not so simple.
The fact is that it is simply impossible to fill the composition from a computer or a mobile device in any of the known audio formats onto the “wall”, since such an opportunity was not provided initially. But if you approach the issue from a practical point of view, such a limitation can be circumvented.
Music on Facebook: how to add a track to a message?
The easiest way to send audio tracks to friends in messages. The method, of course, will require a lot of time to send, but just such a technique is the simplest.
How to add music to Facebook in such a situation? Easy peasy! Choose a friend to send the message to, press the button to add a file, indicated by a paper clip, indicate the location of the audio track on the hard drive or removable media and send. After downloading, the name of the track and the mini-panel for listening will be displayed in the sent message.
The method, of course, is not very convenient, since only those of your friends to whom messages are sent can listen to the composition. In order for the track to be available to all users, you need to publish on the “wall”. At the same time, if the security restrictions are not set, not only friends, but also all other users who enter your page, or friends of friends who are not familiar with you, can listen.
Adding music to a wall using links
You can add tracks to the “wall” in several ways. The classic method can be considered the publication of links to music on the Internet, the use of special additional applications, which, by the way, also allow you to publish links to their own databases and convert audio to video.
Consider the first two options. How to add music to Facebook on the "wall"? Just go to the site with music tracks, select the one you like, copy the link and paste it into the publication.
In some cases, when it comes to specialized resources on the Internet, which are specifically designed to publish musical compositions and albums, it is not necessary to copy links.
In such a situation, it is enough to simply log on to the site using your own registration on the social network, select a track or album, and then, as in many other cases, use the "Share" button. The recording will appear in a publication on the “wall” in a couple of seconds.
On the other hand, you can use your own social network service by clicking on the “Music” button in the left panel (application section). Third-party add-ons in the form of programs like Spotify and Earbits are responsible for this. How to add music to Facebook with their help? Simple too. Select a track or album, press the start button for listening, and then use the "Share" button.
Note: when you enter these services, you may need to create a new account just for them, and you will only be able to log in to your Facebook account after registering with the service itself.
Adding music through conversion
Finally, another universal method that allows you to answer the question of how to add music to Facebook. You can simply change the format of the audio file by converting it to video.
This can be done using the simplest converter that supports converting MP3 to AVI. That's only for the output format, it is best to choose MP4, because in comparison with AVI it has a much smaller volume.
Actually, it is just as easy to convert using any audio or video editor, and then save the file to your computer’s hard drive. As already mentioned, the video on the "wall" is added without problems. You can use anything as programs. For example, the same Adobe Audition will do just fine, in which when saving you just need to select the export function or Batch Convert. You can also use any, even the simplest, video editor in which you need to insert audio into the project and save it in the desired video format.
Instead of a total
As you can see, almost all methods are quite simple. But usually most users do not convert, but simply share links to music tracks and albums, either copying links from the Internet, or using auxiliary services for this. Conversion is useful only in cases where there is no link to the track on the Internet, and the original file is stored on the computer’s hard drive or in the memory of the mobile device (for example, when the user wrote the composition himself). In this case, converting will become the only possible option for adding a track (not counting its preliminary publication, say, on YouTube with automatic conversion).
