In the winter of 2009, a young girl who studied in the 11th grade of one of the schools disappeared in the cultural capital of Russia. Law enforcement officers reassured relatives, argued that "walk up and come back." Unfortunately, Karina Buduchyan did not return home alive. One of the replicated versions comes down to the fact that three representatives of various youth subcultures quarreled. During the conflict, the girl was killed by two other participants.
Karina Buduchyan is often ranked by journalists as emo or goth. Relatives of the girl deny the likelihood of the girl belonging to any informal movements. According to the mother of the deceased, Karina was the most ordinary child. She studied well at school, earning pocket money herself, putting up leaflets.

The last time her mother, Nadezhda Buduchyan, saw her daughter Karina alive, on the afternoon of January 19, 2009. The girl came home after school and soon went to work part-time - to stick flyers. In the evening, Karina Buduchyan called her mother and asked to stay with her friend for the night under the pretext of doing homework.
As Nadezhda herself later admitted, already at that moment she did not want to let her daughter go anywhere. But Karina was too serious about her studies and convinced her mother of the importance of preparing a report. On the morning of the 20th, the girl did not return home. Nadezhda Buduchyan immediately began to think about the worst. Her daughter, unlike many of her peers, did not drink or smoke, spent free time at home more often, and when leaving, she always warned where and how much she was going to. The search for the missing schoolgirl took about two weeks. At this time, all the contacts of the deceased and the people who saw her last alive were actively checked.

Immediately before the announcement of the results of the examination of body fragments, all the relatives of the missing girl hoped that an error had occurred. Forensic experts had to solve a difficult task: to collect the body from fragments and determine what exactly happened to the deceased.

It was possible to establish that the girl was first drowned, after which the body was dismembered and thrown into garbage cans. The murder of Karina Buduchyan was charged with Maxim Golovatsky and Yuri Mozhnov. At the time the crime was committed, young people were 19 and 20 years old. Young people were brought together by a love of informal music and youth subcultures. They played in a rock band, Maxim, due to his bright image, was incredibly popular among girls.
According to friends, Golovatsky himself often entered into short intimate relationships with fans, but did not plan to start a serious relationship. It is believed that Karina Buduchyan was in love with Maxim and actively demonstrated her feelings. On the fateful evening, it was Golovatsky who called the girl to visit, inviting him to relax with the company. The home party was the last in the life of a schoolgirl.
According to the official version, after drinking alcohol between the participants of the gatherings, a quarrel occurred. As a result of the conflict, Maxim, with the help of his friend Yuri, drowned the girl. When they realized what they had done, young people decided to dismember the body. During this bloody work, Golovatsky and Mozhnov realized that they had nothing to lose. As they later explained to the investigators, they just wanted to eat, and the idea to taste the human being came to mind by itself.
Investigation and trial
Once in custody, the suspects almost immediately began to give a confession and told about the fate of Karina Buduchyan. Each of the friends claimed that he participated only in the dismemberment of the body, and he killed and ate human meat another. The murder motive remained unexplained. Golovatskikh only managed to say that "Karina was very tired of her love and childlike spontaneity."
Relatives of the victim confirmed that the girl was in love with Maxim, even wrote verses dedicated to him. The first court hearing in the case took place in the spring of 2009. The defendants and their support group - friends and acquaintances - behaved defiantly. It even came to open mockery of the feelings of the relatives of the murdered.
Sentence and Appeals
The court sentenced Maxim Golovatsky to 19 years in prison in a maximum security penal colony, Yuri Mozhkov - to 18 years in prison in a maximum security penal colony. Each convicted person is also obliged to pay 1 million rubles to the mother of the deceased and to compensate for the material damage caused - 21 thousand rubles. The injured party was not satisfied with the verdict. According to the relatives of the murdered girl, the criminals earned
life imprisonment or the death penalty.
But all this is not the end of a terrible story, the victim of which was Karina Buduchyan. Violent killings and crimes occur from time to time in all corners of the globe. However, it is not so often that you can meet such arrogant and cynical criminals. Convicted Maxim Golovatskikh filed a number of appeals and counterclaims. Its main goal was to bring to justice the mother of the murdered Nadezhda Buduchyan for bullying, insulting her own honor and dignity.
