Idle control or sensor?

And the idle speed controller (IAC) is a stepper motor that opens and closes the channel through which air enters the fuel rail when idling. If you slightly open the throttle, then the IAC is excluded from the entire process. Since the device does not measure anything, it cannot be a sensor.

Diagnostics and cleaning of IAC

Be sure to check his condition - there should be no dirt on it. Remove the regulator and connect to the wiring block (ignition must be on). The stem should fully retract and extend a few millimeters.
