“Lada X-Ray” (impressive technical specifications) is a very interesting concept, presented as a new model. This is a high SUV-style hatchback created on the VO platform. Although the car has not yet gone on sale, it has already attracted the attention of experts and motorists. AvtoVAZ’s promise that the new product will leave behind many competitors in this segment has done its job.
The first cars of the Lada-X-Rey brand (photos are presented in the article) will be front-wheel drive, however, in 2016-2017, in addition to releasing the base version, 4 x 4 models (all-wheel drive), the planned name Lada, will also be available XRay Cross 4x4.
The main characteristic feature that managed to attract so much attention during the first presentation of the updated model back in 2012 was the Lada style in the form of the letter “X”, which marked the beginning of radical changes both in terms of the appearance of the produced machines and in terms of aggregate components Russian AvtoVAZ products.

Technical specifications of all cars in this line will comply with European standards. Engines
As equipment, the manufacturer will use several powertrain options that will be installed on the new Lada-X-Rey model. Technical characteristics of these devices:
- HR4 engine - a power unit of 1.6 liters (volume) and 110 liters. from. (power). A mechanic with a five-step principle of operation (manufacturer "Alliance") will be attached to it. Acceleration of the car will take only 11.9 s, and the average (optimal) fuel consumption will not exceed 6.9 liters.
- The engine 21129 - V 1.6 liters, maximum output power - 106 liters. s., is equipped with the same mechanics from the Alliance or manual transmission of the French development JR5. The second option will be more affordable, as the previous type in combination with the engine produces a lot of noise. Also, AvtoVAZ does not exclude the possibility of a complete rejection of domestic mechanics for this engine. The maximum speed will be 170 km / h, gas mileage in the combined cycle will vary between 7.5 liters.
- An engine of 21179 1.8 liters will be able to provide traction of 122 liters. with., is installed complete with a box-automatic production and development of the concern Lada. The new “Lada X-Ray” (1.8) will be able to accelerate to a hundredth in just 10.9 s, the maximum speed barrier is 183 km / h. The average fuel consumption will be 7.1 liters. The cost of a car with this engine and transmission will be more expensive than previous variations by about 20–55 thousand rubles.
Dimensions
The length of the machine will be 4165 mm, the width will be equal to 1764 mm, the height excluding the railing system - 1570 mm. The wheelbase will reach 2592 mm in the Lada X-Ray model. The technical characteristics of the clearance (the original height of the ride height), like that of other representatives of this platform, are 195 mm, and if you load the car to failure, the figure will decrease by only 25 mm (170 mm). Also, a balance has been worked out with respect to the mass load on the front and rear - it is 51/49%. A fuel tank of 50 liters, this is enough for a class B hatchback.
The weight of the car (taking into account the calculation of fuel, coolant and lubricants) will be 1575 kg. The front suspension will be independent McPherson type (mounted on a stretcher), the rear beam is increased by a track of 37 mm.
Trunk
"Lada X-Ray" (see photo in the article) is equipped with a fairly large luggage compartment. Its volume will be 376 liters in its standard form, with the rear passenger sofa folded up, it significantly increases to 1382 liters. However, this is not all the possibilities, you can lower the front seat - and then the size of the trunk will reach 1514 liters.
The compartment features a perfectly flat floor. Under the false panel, a spare wheel fit. However, for some reason it is 15-inch, although the car is equipped with R16 wheels.
Options and interior
The most common configuration for the Lada X-Ray model (the price starts at 620 thousand rubles) will be Optima. It consists of:

It is worth noting that for all manufactured cars of the XRay type, such important functions are provided as heating the rear-view mirrors , windshield, light and rain sensors , rear-view camera and tinting of the entire periphery of the windows (enhanced version). Top hatchback filling will be more expensive by an average of 50 thousand rubles. And the purchase of an additional Prestige package will give a lot of new opportunities to the car, but its price is no less impressive. For such a "Lada" will have to pay about 700 thousand rubles. However, it is safe to say that it is worth it.

Although the modernization of the already famous XRay was not surprising, the improvement of this line continues to this day. Already planned release of such modifications as Cross 4x4, Cross Concept, Cross Concept 2. One can only guess how AvtoVAZ can surprise consumers and the market. In this example, it can be noted that, unlike previous years, the Russian auto industry is gradually starting to take into account the experience gained earlier and gradually replace the imported elements of its cars with domestic ones, while maintaining productivity and quality.
The Lada X-Rey car will appear in showrooms on February 16, 2016 and, despite widespread criticism, it promises to be a very promising project and an interesting object for car enthusiasts.
