Everyone knows that without special equipment it is simply impossible to build roads, build bridges, build houses. There are a great many machines by which the implementation of these tasks is greatly simplified and accelerated. One of them, called the T-330 tractor, will be discussed in this article.
Place of production and creators
This bulldozer was developed by engineers in Chelyabinsk and is produced in the city of Cheboksary at a tractor plant. This machine is one of a kind, because it combines the most standardized and unified units and parts. The T-330 tractor was the first of this kind of equipment in the USSR, which had a cab located in front. Such an engineering move turned out to be completely justified, because in this case the driver could better see the road and the area of work.
Exploitation
Active use of the bulldozer began in the period of the 1980s, and before that, for several years the machine was under constant development, after which it received a recommendation for use in industry.
The T-330 tractor, as shown by many years of practice, may well be used as an alternative to expensive western counterparts. The bulldozer is not only endowed with the highest power, but also has an enormous margin of safety and ease of maintenance and repair. It is also important that the T-330 tractor is much lower than its imported "colleagues."
Deficiency and its elimination
The main negative quality of the entire industrial bulldozer of the tractor-ripper is its insufficient engine life. Initially, the engine performance was only three years. At the same time, overhaul did not bring the desired result and far from always brought the motor to the required initial technical indicators. In this regard, a number of tractors of this series were equipped with specially adapted engines of foreign manufacturers.
After the modernization, which was largely promoted by many years of experience in operating a bulldozer, the survivability of machine components was increased. The final result of these measures was the production of a slightly more powerful motor, the cooling mode of which can be carried out using both liquid and air. This engine turned out to be more adapted and able to work for a long time both in severe frost and in burning heat.
Main purpose
The bulldozer is actively used for repair, construction, installation and reclamation operations. The operating manual for the T-330 tractor states that the ambient temperature range for normal operation of the machine can be in the range from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius. It is possible to use the tractor as efficiently as possible for various large-scale projects, which will result in achieving the desired ratio of the volume of work performed to the cost of maintaining the machine.
Features
Effective tractor operation on frozen ground is due to the availability of the ability to remove exhaust gases directly under the dump. This removal of the hot gas mixture avoids freezing of the soil conglomerate, due to which the degree of mobility of the bucket is significantly reduced, and the mass of the material moved is also reduced.
An efficiently implemented cooling system allows you to start the engine at sufficiently low temperatures, at which other similar equipment may be out of work. In extreme heat, engine cooling also occurs very efficiently, which completely eliminates the possibility of overheating during intense machine operation.
Design
Consider in detail the elements of the T-330 bulldozer. Tractors 38 were originally equipped with an eight-cylinder engine, cooled by air. The layout of the cylinders is V-shaped. It allows you to maximize the use of all available diesel engine capabilities.
Modern models are already equipped with 12-cylinder engines, which are produced at the Yaroslavl Motor Plant. The main advantage of such engines is higher power, which in turn increases productivity.
The main components and parameters of the bulldozer include:
- The cabin, which is double and has a forced ventilation and heating system. Modern air conditioning is also available. The glazing of the cabin is two-layer, which increases thermal protection in any weather and eliminates freezing. In addition, the cabin is equipped with ergonomic seats, thoughtful controls and equipped with additional shock absorption.
- Transmission hydrodynamic type. It includes a three-speed reverse gearbox, which transmits separately torque to each of the sides. Separately, the braking system also functions, thanks to which, together with the reverse, the excellent maneuverability of the bulldozer in a limited space is guaranteed (it is quite capable of turning around in place).
- Hydraulic transformer. The diameter of its impellers is 480 mm, and the efficiency is 0.906. The transformation ratio corresponds to the standard.
- The undercarriage of the bulldozer consists of two tracked carts and is itself semi-rigid. In order to increase ride smoothness and minimize dynamic loads, torsion bar suspension rollers are used. The grease in these units is not updated for the entire period of operation.
- The T-330 tractor (the manual for its use is described in detail in its data sheet) is controlled completely remotely, since all its main components are not directly connected to the control elements. A rather impressive part of the operations is fully automated and is carried out using auxiliary hydraulic drives.

The T-330 tractor, the technical characteristics of which will be given below, is able to work for a long period of time due to its capabilities, provided with the following parameters and nodes.

There is a modern T-330 tractor, the operation manual of which should certainly be studied before starting work, within 5 million rubles. Earlier models and, of course, more worn out will cost less, but the cost of their maintenance can significantly increase the price and almost bring it to the level of an already modern machine.
