Designer Biography
Today, Gosha Rubchinsky is known throughout the world. He was born in 1984 in the capital of Russia. Addiction to fashion trends originated in a young man in childhood. In parallel with the secondary school, the guy studied at the art department. The next step was the College of Technology and Design. To fulfill his potential, a young man with a diploma got to work as a stylist.
Many magazines invited a talented designer to participate in the preparation for the shows. Dmitry Loginov and Konstantin Gaidai were the first colleagues of Rubchinsky at the dawn of his career. He helped to select clothes for models, do hairstyles, and also gained valuable experience to achieve his future goals. Fashionable clothes have never been a standard of beauty for Gosha. His first collections are saturated with the smell of sleeping areas, and the first admirers were yard street guys and representatives of free skaters. The debut of the designer happened in the fall of 2008.
First collection: "Empire of Evil" (2009)
To understand the conceptual needs of modern youth, Gosha Rubchinsky often went down the subway in order to monitor the style of adolescents. According to the designer himself, any thing should carry in itself a certain atmosphere, laid down initially. For this reason, carries a message that is unmistakably recognized by fans, every T-shirt. Gosha Rubchinsky made the eagle with two heads and crossed machine guns, as well as a bear, the main symbolic signs. This ornament was not chosen by chance; the childhood memories of the designer were taken as a basis.
About 600 people gathered for an unusual show of a young designer. The collection had the meaning of an ordinary physical education lesson and instantly provoked a positive reaction from the growing public.
Concept show "Growing and Developing", 2009-2010
The show program took place in the ruined building of the old church. Gosha Rubchinsky decided to make the second exit a closed event. The most interested persons and representatives of the fashion press came to look at the news. The atmosphere was saturated with the main idea of โโthe collection - a modern teenager in angelic guise.
The finale of the first collection trilogy "Dawn is just around the corner" (2010)
The culmination of dynamic development was the show of the new 2010 collection. The chosen sporting concept was complemented by athletes in basic sweatshirts, pants and socks. Gosha Rubchinsky in pumped up teenagers showed the whole point of the presented models: more movement in life, training and free style. A special highlight of the event was the venue. The guys posed in a building, all the walls of which were hung with beauties from a men's magazine. As usual, all clothing options were designed for the inspiration of the designer - professional skaters. The spirit of freedom is read in every bow.
Autumn-winter collection 2013-2014
For almost 3 years, Gosha Rubchinsky did not engage in design activities, devoting himself to completely commercial projects. But creative nature prevailed, so a full line of aggressive and vibrant clothes with defiant inscriptions was created. Any skater and just a street guy dreamed of getting the coveted model. Gosha Rubchinsky is an original and a great inventor, which fans of his work really like.
"Dawn is not far off" returns. Spring-Summer 2014
After a triumphant comeback, Rubchinsky was carried away by the marine theme, actively using bright prints. The symbolic arrows on T-shirts are designed to indicate the right direction of view. Optimistic images are complemented by badges, for the first time ordinary everyday things for the general public appear. The sports direction this season is minimized.
Gangster collection. Fall-Winter 2014-2015
Over time, the conceptual ideas of an atypical designer change dramatically. The autumn-winter season was marked by an abundance of corduroy fabrics, geometric ornaments and sweatshirts with a sports bias. There was a smooth transition from a sports tramp to an imposing gangster from New York.
Carrot "The Eternal Sun." Summer 2015
By this time, Gosha Rubchinsky, whose photo was already incredibly recognizable, decided to plunge into distant childhood. The summer collection is saturated with the spirit of the dashing 90s, when the trend was jackets and leather jackets. The main focus was a carrot-red T-shirt with the name of the designer, printed in large print. This thing became the creator's calling card and a real hit among young people. Also in the summer line there is a large number of clothes with a print of "half the sun."
More sports! Fall Winter 2015
The main feature of the new products is the combination of Chinese and Russian flags. This trend can be seen in everything: outerwear, socks and T-shirts. Almost all models have a simple inscription - "Sport".
Winter collection 2016 "Slave"
In creating and promoting one of the latest collections to date, Gosha Rubchinsky collaborated with the British organization for supporting talented young designers. Models with echoes of the Soviet regime were presented at the traditional fashion week in London.
1984 Olympics. Spring-Summer 2016
The theme of China is a thing of the past, fashionable things with the date 1984 and the image of the sickle were prepared for warm weather. Bright red T-shirts and shirts with the defiant inscription "Ready for work and defense" became the designerโs new hit. Tricolor Olympic women wanted to have many patriotic citizens. For the full sensation of the show, they used real sickle and hammer as a props.
A peculiar art - performance of a free artist
Gosha Rubchinsky created a new world for himself, ennobling it to his own taste, surrounding his beloved invented things. All created collections are inspired by the life of dysfunctional Soviet teenagers, which finds a lively response among quite successful foreign youth. Comfortable style and unusual manner of presentation has grown in London and New York fans of the brand, who are actively sweeping new items from the shelves.
