Ingredients: 1 herring (preferably large), onion 1 head, one apple, 2 eggs, 3 potatoes, 2 beets, walnuts 50-60 g, mayonnaise.
Boil vegetables, of course, in addition to onions, in a peel, immediately boil the eggs and leave to cool. We cut herring - we clear of a skin and bones, we cut into small pieces. Grate the apple, crush walnuts. After all the components of the salad are prepared, lay in layers in the salad bowl. The first layer is potatoes, greased with mayonnaise. Next is the herring and on top of it is chopped onion, grease with mayonnaise. Next, a layer of one grated beetroot with mayonnaise. Next to the beets, a layer of finely chopped eggs with mayonnaise. Then walnuts, apple, mayonnaise. And the last layer is the remaining beets with mayonnaise. We send the salad in the refrigerator to soak.
