The phrase "cheap car" in itself sounds somewhat strange. Everyone knows that a car is a complex high-tech device. And almost any Russian would prefer a foreign-made car to a domestic one. It is because of the technical equipment. Let's try to figure out what they are - the cheapest cars.
Recently, a well-known American publication called Forbes published a world ranking of the cheapest cars. Naturally, only foreign models were considered. The Americans did not take into account the masterpieces of the Russian automobile industry. In our rating, domestic cars will take their rightful place. So where to look for
the cheapest cars of 2013? Of course, in poor Asian countries. In the first place, the Tata baby, firmly released by the Indian carmaker in a limited edition, firmly established itself. The cost of the machine is only 2500 dollars. However, it can easily accommodate five people and accelerate to 100 km / h. Under the hood of the Tata there is a 33-horsepower engine, and, thanks to its size, the little car cleverly maneuvers through the narrow streets of Indian cities.
Second place in the ranking is Chery QQ. It's no secret that the Chinese have long sought to produce the cheapest cars, copying the famous and more expensive Japanese and Korean models. So Chery QQ turned out to be an almost exact copy of Daewoo Matiz. In the Chinese market, a car costs about $ 4,800. However, for us, gentlemen, the Chinese almost double the price.
The third place goes to the Japanese automaker Suzuki, or rather, its Suzuki Maruti 800 car. The small car is offered for an affordable price for the Japanese - $ 5,000.
In fourth place is also located "Chinese." Super compact hatchback Geele MR with pretty good technical and external data is estimated at 5500 dollars.
Now we got to the most interesting. In the fifth position of our rating is the cheapest new domestic car Lada Granta. Whatever skeptics say about the imperfection of Russian cars, Lada Grant, with its cost of 269 thousand rubles, remains one of the most affordable for most segments of the population.
The sixth line in the list of "Cheapest Cars" is
Daewoo Matiz. In principle, to be more precise, Matiz in the basic configuration costs almost 40 thousand cheaper than Grants. But the standard version is so meager that the car can be said to be completely "naked". There is not even a janitor on the rear window, which is not quite common for a hatchback. If we take the cost in a normal, more or less adapted to ride configuration, then this is about 312 thousand.
After the Korean, the "Chinese" again settled down. In principle, this is not surprising, given the focus of the Chinese automakers on the availability of their cars. Chery A1 with good basic equipment has a cost of $ 7400.
The ninth line of the rating went to our Oka. With the now Chinese motor, power accessories and air conditioning, this engineering miracle will cost about $ 7,600.
And at the last position in the ranking of "Cheapest Cars" is another model of ours, namely Lada 2113. The car is pretty nice in every way. In fact, this is the result of the painstaking work of VAZ designers and engineers over the once popular VAZ-2108 model. The updated G8 costs about $ 8,500.
