The Guinness Book of Records recognized this new record. The winners received $ 3,300 and a pair of diamond rings. In their interview, the spouses Laksana and Ekkahai Tiranarat admit that they decided to participate in an unusual competition precisely in order to emphasize the importance of family values. Interestingly, after this victory, the Thai government decided not to organize such large-scale “kissing” contests in the future. This is a big surprise, because it is the temperamental Thais that are not the first time to fall into the Guinness Book of Records.
