The phrase "liquid plastic" is familiar to many, but not everyone is well aware of its capabilities. Today I would like to talk about where and how this technology is applied.
Interior decoration materials
Polymeric acrylic water-dispersion paints are also known as "liquid plastic." You can use them for painting any surfaces except the floor. Suitable for exterior and interior decoration, such as: sloping roofs based on composite mineral materials, brick walls, structures made of wood and plywood, chipboard, MDF, fiberboard. In addition, acrylic paints are considered ideal for wallpaper for painting.
Liquid plastic coating has a lot of advantages. First of all, it is economical application and high operational and technical characteristics.
The resulting film has high elasticity, light and water resistance, does not deteriorate under the influence of aggressive detergents. The service life of the coating is at least ten years. A smooth surface with a pleasant glossy sheen looks elegant and presentable.
Enamel "liquid plastic" for anti-corrosion treatment
This material has high adhesion to metals, which means that the coating will remain on the treated surface for a long time. The second significant plus is the ability to apply paint directly to rust-damaged surfaces without using a primer. The anticorrosive properties of the material prevent the reappearance of rust.
As a rule, “liquid plastic” enamels are used to protect pipelines and other engineering structures made of metal, including safes and racks, cars, fences, awnings.
Liquid plastic for PVC windows
Not so long ago, a new product, Cosmofen Plus, appeared in Russian stores of building materials. It is a one-component adhesive, the basis of which is polyvinyl chloride.
Experts recommend the use of "liquid plastic" in the installation of window structures. It allows you to evenly fill the gaps in the connection areas. This method is also called diffusion welding. The mating surfaces after drying of the glue turn into almost a single monolith.
After curing, the film retains sufficient elasticity and is resistant to mechanical stress. Curing of the glue takes place within 2-4 minutes, the final drying takes about a day.
Before starting work, we recommend that you take care of very good ventilation, because Cosmofen Plus has a sharp chemical smell, which causes a severe headache.
Surfaces intended for gluing need preliminary preparation. First remove dust, dirt, small particles of plastic or lime with a normal damp cloth. Then degrease using a special liquid "Cosmofen" or acetone. This information is not indicated on the adhesive packaging, but it has been experimentally established that this operation is necessary.
Liquid plastic for cars
Any car owner seeks to protect his property to the maximum. At the same time, it is desirable that the car not only does not corrode, but also retains an attractive appearance for as long as possible. Liquid plastic is a universal tool for non-uniform processing, which meets all the requirements of modern motorists.
Let's see what the process of applying a polymer layer looks like. First, the car is thoroughly washed with special compounds to clean all pores and microcracks from pollution. Then the surface is degreased, dried and a polymer layer is applied. Penetrating into the pores, it smoothes out all irregularities, forming a protective water-repellent layer. Thus, mechanical action from particles of sand, chemicals, rain or snow falls on the polymer layer, and the paintwork remains as protected as possible under any conditions.
