Lovely heart live pictures - cartoons! How much joy and warmth is in them - they all smell like childhood to us.
How animation was born
The history of living pictures is as old as the world: attempts to revive drawings date back to the 1st century BC. Chinese "shadow theaters" were popular already in the II millennium A.D.
In the middle of the XV century. wandering actors with mechanized images entertained people in the squares, and in the 17th century a “magic lantern” was born, which projected live pictures on glass.
Many attempts to revive the images testified to the special interest of people in this type of art at all times.
Finally, it was the turn of the rich in the discoveries of the XIX century. After many years of improvements and attempts, in Paris on October 28, 1892, Emil Renault first publicly demonstrated a luminous pantomime, which led the audience to delight. The discovery of cinematographic technology overshadowed the brilliance of the French invention, but many decades later it was this day that became the commemorative date of the animation for the entire planet.
In 2002, marks the 100th anniversary of the first public display of the forerunner of the animation by E. Reno of his pantomimes, and French animators suggested annually celebrating International Animation Day . Since then, on October 28, the entire planet pays tribute to the great art of animated films.
History of domestic animation
At the beginning of the 20th century, our compatriot - choreographer of the Mariinsky Theater Alexander Shiryaev distinguished himself in the field of animation: in 1906 he became the creator of the world's first puppet cartoon. Now 12 moving dolls against the backdrop of motionless scenery might seem primitive - what is there to look at? - however, at that time it was a definite breakthrough in animation.
Cartoon graphics began to develop in the USSR in the period 1924-1925 with the founding of the Kultkino studio. A decade later, in June 1936, the popular Soyuzmultfilm movie studio was opened in Moscow. Today it is difficult to find a person who is not familiar with the products of this studio: “Winnie the Pooh and all-all-all”, “Kitten named Woof”, “Little Dwarf” and other cartoons that have been loved since childhood.
70 years later, Soyuzmultfilm veterans decided to perpetuate domestic animation milestones and reveal some secrets of animation technology to cartoon fans. In 2006, the Museum of Animation was opened, which originally had the character of a traveling exhibition. Today it is located at the All-Russian Exhibition Center and includes more than 5000 exhibits.
International Animation Day in Russia has been celebrated since 2007. The first celebration was dedicated to the memory of Alexander Tatarsky - a talented animator, the founder of the animation studio "Pilot". Who is not familiar with the amusing and funny animated films "Plasticine Crow", "Koloboks are investigating", "Last year's snow fell"? Their author and director was A. Tatarsky.
In Moscow, the Great Cartoon Festival, which opened in 2014 for the eighth time, is timed to coincide with world animation celebrations. This animated show lasts a dozen magical days, during which viewers can enjoy a wide variety of films from around the world.
The story of one boy
Most kids do not think about how animated films are created - they think cartoons have always existed. One boy became interested in how to get your favorite cartoon characters from TV.
As he got older, he received a wonderful toy movie camera as a gift: if you look at the screen and turn the knob, you can see the cartoon recorded in it! Of course, the camera was immediately dismantled, and the secret was revealed: inside the device was a miniature film with printed images. Since then, a curious boy was carried away by animation, turning the creation of cartoons into a matter of his life.
Favorite cartoons in children's educational institutions
Creating an animated film is not an easy task: to “make” a cartoon character just raise his hands, you need at least a hundred images. For a cartoon picture in 10 minutes of such drawings you need about 15,000!
International Day of Animation at DOW is an appropriate occasion to give children an idea of how cartoons are created. This is not only a fascinating activity for children, but also a creative process that has a beneficial effect on the child’s abilities.
The simplest version of the cartoon can be done with the child yourself: on each sheet of a thick album drawings are applied. For example, to depict a drop-down bud, on the first page you need to draw it completely closed, on the last - completely open, and on the intermediate pages - the various stages of this process. When quickly scrolling through a painted album, the child will see a “revived picture” - this is the simplest cartoon. Experienced teachers in kindergartens and schools use a wide variety of technologies to create animated works:
- picture;
- origami;
- application;
- plasticine.
Any material suitable for traveling in the fascinating world of animation - you just need to add a little imagination!
